Agree 100% with you sideline, the fact they let people onto the motorway is beyond me. Luckily i got word from a friend and went through Antrim. Dont even think i seen a sign indicating that there was road works taking place.

We will all be calling it the Aviva Stadium in a couple of years, whether you think so or not, it will be in all the media coverage and will just catch on.

Look at the stadiums in England, the emirates, the reebok, walkers stadium, etc.

I stayed in Monroes, its an old family run hotel straight opposite piccadilly train station. Nothing fancy about it, but wouldn't expect anything more for £20 a night and in a good location.

Just finished professional qualifications and whilst I enjoy and look forward to the career im undertaking, if I was 18 again Id choose either a completely different degree, or Id just work without one.

Theres a bit of talk on here about the number of so called 'useless degrees' (not that I for one second think any degree is useless) that can be achieved nowadays.  Up until last year Queens offered more different degrees than any other university in the world.  This year it has severely cut back on this by I believe (although I dont have the figures to hand) more than 60%

Also the US system...

What are you saying, Queens has cut the amount of degrees it offers by 60%? I find that very hard to believe.

GAA Discussion / Re: Charlie Vernon

Whisky i dont see the problem with this thread, its a GAA forum and he is an intercounty player who we are discussing, would you have the same objections if it was Ronan Clarke or Paddy Bradley being discussed? No one is being offensive towards the lad which would be out of order. He is a sportsman playing at a high level and like any other sportsman he will get praised and criticised.

Drank with him in tiffy quinns one night after one of his exhibitions in ballygawley! Sound enough bloke but he wouldn't buy a box of ciggies, kept dippin into my packet!

Not surprised to hear about him being tight, sure when he was playing in Belfast a couple of summers ago he stayed in Renshaws FFS!
That could not be true

I had a housemate you played hurling for queens, he used to get a sports scholarship, free gym membership and loads of free grar. I think if you could lift a hurl they give you one at queens due to the standard of hurling. The moral of the story is join queens hurling club and get in for free.

Handy parking tips for free staters visiting Newry (based on experiences - Saturday 6th December 2008)

If you are parking in either the Quays or Buttercrane car parks, please observe the following etiquette.

1. Park between the white lines, not on top of them. This will allow the optimum number of cars to park in the car park.

2. If someone has the indicator on and is reversing into a space, manners dictate that you don't drive into the same space, miss Maroon Toyota driver 99-LH-4***.

Hope this helps.
The Dublin drivers are just used to being ignorant cts.
