Tyrone / Re: Tyrone 2008
January 25, 2008, 08:49:39 AM
A forward of O Neill and Canavans stature only comes along in a generation.  With O neill gone, Canavan gone and Tyrones next potential starlet Niall Mc Ginn wasting his energies at Dungannon Swifts in front of 200 people, it does indeed look like Tyrone are facing at least 5 years in the wilderness.  Very sad about Stevie but in your pomp you were class son,  You owe Tyrone nothing.

If its true that O Neills Career may be cut short by the wrong type of training prep work, If I had his talent Id be angry too.  But id ask does anyone know better than Mickey in Tyrone football - Id doubt it.  I heard the talk of wee Peter too, didnt believe it but ye never know.

Anybody else  heard that theres going to no fannying about like last year and hes only going to name 30 panellists. It seems that a general feeling exists that standards dropped last year due to too man being involved.   I also was told to expect a surprise development.  Anyone any ideas??? (Canavan back?)   8)

God - it's so long since this page fell so far down the list - where are you all and have ye no news to share ?

I agree - At this rate there'll be very little in the sports sections of the local papers next week so!!

Mark my words Tyrone need to develop the talents of the best forward potentially  in the county by a mile - Niall Mc Ginn to get to the top table again.  It looks like Derry city are going to sign him though.

What exactly has their range of services been to this point?
If you can still be a member when an ex player then how does this serve a serving intercounty players by having their image rights earnings divided amongst the old fogies.
Was Dessies job advertised?

GAA Discussion / Re: Total Tool Journalists
January 18, 2008, 01:57:13 PM
The journalists (lovable rogues) in Tyrone can be divided into the following:
1) Over Opinionated guys who with or without knowledge and/or indeed love of the game are determined to get their tuppennceworth in.  Would deem a guys off the field demise as newsworthy as a guys perfromance on the pitch. (see option 3)
2) Blandied event reported reporting too much detail without enough opinion.  You know what I nearly hate this more tha A.
3) guys who are ashamed to be associated with the GAA and spend their time knocking it?

It appears that Maybe the Pay for play group have plans to split and set up their own rival organisation.  Mark Conway, you and your right thinking co horts have a lot to answer for!!!!

Meath showed Tyrone this year that if yere not prepared to get down and if needs be dirty then dont expect the top marks.  The Kingdom have perfected this for decades but hide their dirt behind a self projected air of gentility and etiquette.  Anyone who believes the kerry men arent cynical, well yes the earth is also flat!.

Agh good luck to him and lets hope he has a good one.  I just think he is less Jimmy Keaveney more Jimmy Krankee.
