Kelleher is a championship level keeper. Anyone who seen him play against Southampton would know that. Can't believe the hype that surrounds him just because he's Irish. He's as bad a keeper as Pickford and that's saying something.

On the other hand, anyone who saw him over the past few seasons when he was getting runs of games or at least playing semi-regularly will know that he stood in very capably for Allisson when he was out injured or rested for a cup game.
Was a significant improvement on Adrian for sure.

If you don't like the SPL don't watch it. The PL would be shite if it wasn't for the foreign money and Sky/BT funds bringing in players fro around the world. Ange just proved that he is motivated by money and that's his prerogative so much for we never quit. Fair play to him though he will earn more at Tottenham in 2 years than he would have earned at Celtic in the next 4 which was probably his limit. He's a professional manager with little or no emotional attachment.

What would Ange have been on at Celtic vs what he would get at Spurs?  While he got the spurs job by default, the fact he plays a decent brand of football may get him some buy in from Spurs fans certainly initially.  Conte/Mourinho were brought in as serial winners and couldn't get the job done and there was frustrations around the style of play.  Can see this playing out as "sure he only won in Scotland should never have got the job etc" similar to Gerrard when things went belly up at Villa as Spurs would appear to be a poison chalice.

If he didn't take the chance with Spurs he could have been accused of lack of ambition?  What is the glass ceiling for a Celtic Manager?

Celtic supporters responded in a similar fashion when Rodgers left slating manager who had did a great job.

Slightly different with Rodgers given he left us in the lurch mid season

Fair enough.

McAllister officially confirmed
Good to get some business done early.  Good all rounder who played in various roles at Brighton and can pinch a goal from midfield which has been lacking really since Coutinho left.

Can the club season please just end.....

Use are dreadful. That scoreline actually flattered the point tonight. Shadow of the team CPN have had in recent seasons. Don't think it's a transition period, it is the end of an era sorry to say.

As dreadful as you say and I'm not making any excuses for our performance which was poor but, last night we were missing 12 players from our championship run to the final last year which might explain being a shadow of ourselves. With 7 injuries , 2 travellers 1 transfer & 2 county players we definitely are struggling in some matches. More disappointing is that the great CPN supporter JohnnyBoy should know we have these problems. Some more long term than short. But you take 12 starting players out of any team and you are going to struggle. To have 9 points at the half way stage and be mid table is an excellent return in the predicament we find ourselves IMO. Hopefully some of these 12 will be back before the league ends & Championship starts.
Who was the transfer?

Interesting league so far, no one would deny. Winners obviously Portglenone will be happy and Creggan for coming back strong after a poor period. Ahoghill as well. Losers defininitely St Brigids and St Endas won't be happy where they are at.
Aghagallon did well coming second also without 2  of Antrims key forwards, though losing last 3 will be concerning.  Good to see Loughran kick on he was fresher of the year at UCD or DCU but didn't seem be flavour of the month with previous Antrim managers.

Some of the world's finest players have been connected with a transfer to Saudi Arabia. Following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, the World-Class players are speculated to be joining the Saudi Pro League. I see Kanté is very close to joining Al-Ittihad (same club Benzema joined last week). Rather than the MLS, it appears like Saudi Arabia is the new retirement home for players.

I wonder will Messi follow suit?

€100m a season for Kante? Crazy figures. But I can't feel it'll be like the LIV golf, a retirement home. One last pay day.

China part 2.  Whatever happened Oscar who was in early 20s Brazil Squad then made that move solely for money?

How good was sambo? Would he have matched up against his southern counterparts?

He was gifted and a real battler but there were better players in that antrim era on his own club team. He had a unique style about him which made him more of a name and he has always had a high profile since that which keeps him more in those conversations.

That was a good era for antrim hurling though and he definitely held his own against pretty much any southern opposition in that era.

Didnt start on u-14 team then when was u16 was motm in county final some development there in a short period of time.

Not a fan of the new format at all.  In Armagh club championship last few years been straight knock out and been brilliant.  This years powers that be have decided to revert back to group stage format similar to AI series 4 groups of 4 top team into quarters and preliminary quarter finals.  All just seems a bit of a money racket.

If they got into the english leagues then I think over time they might be close to winning the premier league given a wee bit of time. The problem is now they can't compete financially due to the TV money. The european money helps massively but is not always guaranteed.

Not a chance unless it was Arab money they were getting.

What has other teams in the premier league have over Celtic? (obviously excluding the monetary advantage)

Celtic are as big as any of them. But look at the likes of Man City! Pure shite and then the Arab money has turned them into a machine.
Celtic are as a big a club as Man utd and Liverpool?  Both tradition in Europe and followed globally.  There is generally no interest in Celtic outside Scotland and Ireland.  They haven't been competitive in europe in a long time either.

Disappointing evening up in Omagh and as an Armagh fan you could see how the game was going early on. You have to take your chances and we didnt.  I agree, that red has been coming for Rian.  Maybe a few reds would do him no harm.  A bit like Forker years ago.

Us Armagh fans like to say we've a great forward line and we just need to let them off the leash.  I'm not so sure about that and the last 3 games has done nothing to convince me. Great forward lines punish chances more often than not. Also, Tyrone seemed to be able to waltz in whenever they wanted in the 1st half and kick a point.  I wouldnt like to see us with larger gaps in the defence to fill as we've left forwards up the pitch.  Man markers we have not (not many counties do).

Excluding Rian O'Neill and Rory Grugan, who else makes this forward line great?

Murnin is a great target man would start in any team in ulster.

It will be a tough battle but I still think Tyrone by 5 as they need it that bit more. I expect to see a little more memory muscle in Tyrones performance ie  for winning big games.
I think Tyrone are better than both Ulster finalists

Based on?

4 all irelands and numerous ulster titles. Thought that would have been obvious to someone called Captain Obvious 🤣

Not sure too many in current Tyrone Panel have 4 AI medals.  Man City need not turn up to Wembley on Saturday either given your logic

Dublin still rated as favourites for all ireland with the bookies which given the performance on Sunday and against Kildare is hard to believe.  Be interesting to see who tops the group will expect it to come down to score difference.

I thought Francie's was a gripping episode,  just how many words could Thomas extract from the taciturn Francie before the 'interview' ended. There were some patches where dead air blew up a storm, inspiring an avalanche of words from an ever frantic Thomas, to which Francie would invariably reply after yet another pause, 'yes'/'could be'/ 'don't remember'.

There is a unique feature with the GAA social (well apart from managing to almost humanise Tyronies),   according to Thomas each and every last week's podcast was the  best ever podcast they have ever done, revealing deep deep stuff, the deepest ever revealed  not just on GAA social but on Irish airwaves.

That said, I do enjoy it and am a regular listener.

Firstly I like the podcast. But the Francie one wasn't their best. Francie isn't an outgoing character and it reminded me of some of those Keane interviews were he says nothing of interest. I get why Francie doesn't do them, he has nothing he wants to say. Thomas is a good interviewer and he should have known not to bother interviewing him. I actually got interrupted about 10 mins from the end of it and didn't bother going back to finish it.
He has done some really good ones though. The Aoife Lennon one is excellent. Brian Canavan, Jarlath Burns and the Mark Lynch ones are very good. They've got that human story that maybe I'm into.

The Devenney and Kilpatrick ones I felt were also good.
