Listen at the time Lyons was regarded as a thug. Talented player without doubt but a thug non the less.  Dont ebven pretend its news to you.  We could do with a few more Mick Lyons now.  My question is it why do people fondly remember the bad guys and ignore the good guys or even attempt to tarnish their reputation.

I cant get the image of Martin O Rourke (AIsemifinal) v Tyrone in 1995 doing a special back flip for 80,000 people after Mugsy and him had words - it was unreal.

Lyons was a class act, but he was into a lot of dirty stuff.  O neill punched him because he was stupid but he was Cork best forward in the earkly stages and Lyons had had got to him.  In that era refereees did not protect forwards so big men like Lyons could get away with what he wanted.  He wasnt so hot against a bigger man in Withnell yet hes now a folk hero.  Fine player much dirtier than Canavan but couldnt have laced Canavans boots if you want to compare.  Also he was phsically a much stronger man, but he still didnt have a patch on him. Hes a hero because he was dirty.

I have heard it could be the following
Magners - the official cider of the GAA
Mc Donalds -the official restaurant of the GAA
Guinness official Stout of the GAA
Ryanair - official low cost airline to the GAA
Kenco coffee - Official coffee of the GAA
Hugees nappees - official nappys to the GAA. (Cork Hurlers)
The source could be wrong however.

First of all I believe its time for Harte to move aside, I think he has taken this group of players as far as he can.  However the Under 21 management team and even the minors are non runners.  For the good of Tyrone football Mickey Harte needs to move back into under 21 or even minor management as its quite obvious at this level some serious ommissions have been made and the chances to gather and bring through talent have been ignored (Mc Ginn) resulting in a loss of talent to other options.  I think we realise with the departure of O Neill and Canavan  how important bring ing through that top class forward is - your ai hopes depend on it.
Mickey Harte is the man who assembled the greatest group of players in Tyrones history.  Today I am asking him to do this again.  Tyrone need it from the bottom up.  Mickey needs to go hunting and bring another team through when the tinme is right.  Ilook at the example of Pete Mc Grath who won 2 and stayed on at the top too long, let someon else come in there and they might nick an unlikely ai but this team has had its era, and its time to start agfain at the bottom.  Mickey could be senior manager again in 4 - 6 years time - he is young enough and in the meantime he could be developing his armoury for another golden era in Tyrone football.  the under 21 management are a disaster and the minor management are struggling.  I would take Mc Ivor / Porter straight from Donegal - they might be capable of nicking one with that team.  Im afraid that Mickeys message isnt being heard in as lot of quarters at the moment.

Maybe on a less legal angle then,  but third party enough for me.  Why would The shamrock rovers ultras website call the GAA nazis or fascists etc.  Whilst you admit that you lack the basic capabilities of a lawyer surely you comprehend that thats the equivalent of somebody saying FAI = Nazis / fascists etc.  as opposed to one part of...

Fair play to the ofonebelief.org group.  Great news in the Irish News paper today that no decision has been reached on the grants by the GAA.  I have never been a fan of the various sub committees etc and appeal bodies within the GAA, but the ofonebelief group has illustrated how the procedures are there to protect the GAA from enemy forces from both within and outside its organisation.  At l;east now club members will have their say if it is deemed neccessary to push this agenda any further.  A victory for the grass roots and in years to come we will know why this was all neccessary.

O neill shaun will come in there but Niall Mc Ginn is probably the only forawrd in Tyrone I believe capable of becoming a great.  Is he even on the under 21 panel?
