Ye'll struggle to find a bookie that will lay each way on the provinces lads. If you find one, let me know ....

Paddy Power is doing e/w on ulster and leinster.

GAA Discussion / Provincial Accumulator
January 31, 2007, 04:00:18 PM
Im just after doing my annual accumulator for the provincial championships. I went for Cork, Mayo, Donegal and Meath at odds of about 725/1. ( A real long shot I know but hey worth a try).

Any opinions on other combinations.

Mayo / Re: Mayo Club Football.

What a performance by killala. Looked finished early in the second half but put in a real fighting performace to win in extra time. Rory Hannick played a stormer and id say the clifden full back will be having nightmares about him. 7 points for marcus hannick but nearly all from frees which rory won.

Good to see O'Mahoney getting a good crew on board. Only thing is I dont think we ever had a problem with fitness in the last 10 years. These players need to be toughened up pysically and mentally and I wonder what Johno has in store to do this.

Good man Frankie. This idiot might not be in such a hurry to run onto the pitch the next time he has a grievance. What was Frankie meant to do, stand there and take a belt from some clown running at him.

If the government want to ban drink sponsership well so be it. Until then why should the gaa give up big sponsership deals to other sports. Im sure the "guys" in the irfu would love to see the gaa taking the high moral ground and releasing all that guinness money into rugby.

keep the gaa out of politics ... oh yeah except john o mahony

Players nowadays are not encouraged to use the footpass. In the modern game the emphasis is on retaining possecion. One of the best passers of the ball with the foot in the game at the moment Ciaran McDonald is ridiculed if the pass is not directly into a team mates hands. He gets accused of always trying to be to fancy. Twice I read in sunday papers this year that if mayo wanted to go anywhere they had to drop mc donald. Managers knowadays are happier with players like Paul Galvin who are a safer bet. Many taught the same when mc donald was picked ahead of galvin for a gpa allstar.

I hope this gets sorted soon. I think JOM needs to take the job this time. If anyone else gets it, his name is going to keep coming up when things go bad. At least if he takes it and it doesnt work out we can move on and the monkey is of the back.

Have to go with donaghy. Turned kerrys season around. Definatly dont agree with opinions on galvin. No wonder the skills of gaa are in decline when a forward like galvin is been mentioned for player of the year.
