What are the chances of no replays from the 1st round of qualifiers. If there is then this fucks up the secong round the following weekend and subsequently the third round the following week. There will be some giving out about fixtures come July

How do this thing work, going on current form with will have 13 teams in round 1

    * Cavan
    * Fermanagh
    * Limerick
    * Mayo
    * Kildare
    * Westmeath
    * losers of Longford v Laois
    * losers of Donegal v Armagh
    * losers of Monaghan v Down
    * losers of Meath v Dublin
    * losers of Laois v Longford
    * losers of Louth v Wicklow***
    * losers of Winner of Louth/Wicklow v Wexford
No wicklow if they lose
which give 7 teams to play 8 in round 2 ?

what I can make of it is, any team that doesnt get to a provincial final final goes into the draw except for the teams in division 4 next year. ie. 32 counties - 8 provincial finalist =24

24 - 8 division 4 teams =16

But the fun starts if either tipperary, waterford, offaly, antrim, london, wicklow or carlow qualify for a provincial final we now have 17 to 23 teams in the draw.

I presume the draw will have to be made after the 24/6/07 after all provincial semis are played and with the 1st round of the qualifiers fixed for the 7/7/07 does this mean we could be looking at a preliminary round or two on the weekend of the 1/7/07

Am I right in saying that if Galway dont beat leitrim, they could get mayo in the 1st round of the qualifiers. Or meath could get kildare if they dont beat the dubs. Surely this isnt right and teams that have met previously cant meet again in round 1 or 2 at least of the qualifiers.

Well this seems to be the case. Now wouldnt that be some craic. Another Mayo-Galway match in the next round. Who gets home advantage or would it automatically go to McHale park.

I want to compliment you lone shark on the work your doing. I to was a pp man but its great to have a bit of competition in the market. I have opened my account with Ladbrokes and hopefully courtesy of David Brady ill have a good balance to get me through the summer. I hear Brady may not start sunday as he is not match fit yet and with his history for injuries, you never know the bosses could be very happy with you.

Why is it every thread on this board has to be interrupted by some lug ?

What do you mean red hand?

33/1 on means that you must bet £33 to win one pound
33/1 against means that you will win £33 if you bet one pound

Another from the hill,

Jason Sherlock receiving attention after taling a knock a guy roars., leave him there, shite is good for the grass.

Mossy missed another load of frees again today. I dont understand why dublin persist with his freetaking. At one stage he barely got the ball of the ground with the free and then just popped the rebound over the bar from the hands. He looks to be lacking confidence when taking the frees.

Betting suspended on david brady to start a championship match at 2/1. Must have been a few bets on this

Well at least the rumours of Mayo been without J Killcullen, D Clarke and K O Neill were wrong! This is good news for Mayo. Any news on D Brady?
Hard to say how this game goes, guess it just depends on the performance and bit of luck on the day but it'll be defineatly be tight.

Just wondering what would happen if the game ended in a draw,would it go to extra time or a replay?

Im not so sure if the team named will be the same as the team starting. I heard Clarke may not make it . Also I doubt if KON could have recovered that quick. Anyway I hope Im wrong. The semi's were to go to extra time if level so I presume the final will be the same.

These odds are a bit more generous.

A bit more advice for you fish head.

Have a look at this link

http://www.skybet.com/skybet?offer=20&aff=221

register your details and lodge 30 euro. Put your money on Mayo at 14/1. Then claim your free bet. Throw that on Mayo as well. When they win the a/i you are now 870 euro up for your 30 euro bet. odds of 28/1. Easy as that. Just the slight matter of the footballers doing the biz.

Totally agree. It's just a matter of Mayo turning up to collect the cup. They are AI champions after all, sure Roscommon are happy to just get to a final! We will turn up and act as cannon fodder for the far superior Mayo team and their fans. A day out in Castlebar is all, might have a look around the shops and then off home....... In fact why not just hand over the cup now, tis a formality after all ::)

Well called

"As for Tyrone throwing their weight around, all that was missing was Whelan to throw his around, but of course he's still in the box David Brady put him in last august, Dublin whinging about teams getting stuck into them is a bit rich."

Question is which box are the entire Mayo team in - shipwrecked off Skellig Mhichil would be my guess or maybe just off Dingle. Brady is a big a shaper as anybody. Loves courting the media and coming on and throwing his weight around. - slightly hypocritical to compare him as a saint to say the least.

Jaysus bud relax. I dont think anyone said he was a saint. He just put manners on whelan that day. I dont think you could disagree with this
