Typical and there was me making big plans for Sat nite floodlit games agus craic agus Ceol.

Funny all the different reports ye can get on a match from different sources.
Some papers say Tyrone and Kerry game was crap and very dirty throughout.

Some say Tyrone Midfield was crap while others say McMahon held Dara very well

How did Donnelly do and Full back? Is he not FAR too slow?
Did big Joey not do well there the previous week?

True Ulster Gael

Can you please remove that very offensive picture as it reminds me of the Omagh massacre where my next door neighbour was murdered.

Does anyone else agree that there are too many times we find it hard to win long balls into our FF line.

Usually Stevie and Mugsy are always being held or pulled and they find it hard to make space although usually without McGuigan the ball in is not the best and is often too slow so that when they make a run, by the time they get the pass the defender has caught up with them.

I believe they have begun training twice a week this week onwards.
I agree that Mickey will use this anti Tyrone national feeling now to galvanise the squad and create a new hunger for this year.
I think he has developed his motivational skills a lot with the help of that guy Bart ?????? and knows how to change things around.
Has he become a wee bit like Mourinho and doesnt care what people think of him now as he's held bent on winning a 3rd AI and not just being Mr nice guy who rests on his laurels.

Yeah looks a strong enough team but Cork away is always a tough game.

Is the squad cut now
Did none of the McCarrons make the squad.

Surprised Enda didnt make it in before Mellon too.
Whats your man Treanor like? What age, height is he?

Talking of diving I think the Armagh management might have to make radical changes to their tactics this year.
Have ye all noticed how the refs seem to have got really strict for the NFL and ye get frees and yellow cards for barely touching a man now.

Was watching a bit of the Cross v St Bridgets there on Setanta and the Cross Defenders could understand why you get booked for shouldering a man into his neck or arm around the neck.

Could be very open games this year with 13 a side in loads of matches.
Saying that I'd say with Oisin, Marsden and Clarke (when he returns) all in the FF line they could be a potent attacking unit again.

I know there are quite a few Tyrone fans on this board living in Belfast but I wanted to get an idea how many are living in Dublin.

I was thinking of arranging something like a Dublin based Tyrone fans club where people could regularly meet up before matches, for social nights out and for watching games live on Setanta or TG4 etc.

How many people would be interested in such a thing. If you are please send me a message and state yer name, where you're from, where you live in Dublin and any suggestions you may have such as where to meet up. It doesn't need to be near Croker although we could rotate it round on non match days.

Of course if you're down in Dublin just for the day of course you can come along and meet up before hand. We could just use this thread as a meeting arrangment point and take it from there.

I believe Cork v Tyrone is on Setanta this Sat night.

Also Some of you may be interested in this new web site. It is set up by an ex Tyrone man llviing in Dublin.

GAA Discussion / Re: McKenna Cup 2007 Champions Tyrone

As I said back at the time when he first played the lads.

Most people would agree (even ye biased fans) that Tyrone are in with a good chance of an AI this year.

If you were a young player coming into the squad and you knew that this could be your ONLY chance of winning an AI medal as the main core of the team may have reached their peak now,

Would you Opt to play for your UNI and just maybe win a sigerson but sit in the stand on AI final day.

Of course Mickey Harte and the players involved made a selfish decision but at the end of the year how do you judge a manager and a team. Hardly by some pre-season cup goodwill.

Yeah can anyone post who is on the subs bench?

I wouldn't be surprised to see a few changes to that team before the start.
