Was there any more of you at that match yesterday?

Is it true then that 2 Aghyaran players intentionally took him out or was it more of an accident?
Was he playing rings round them then.

Was there any backlash afterwards?

Hopefully it's not too bad but could be a blessing in disguise as he might have been tempted to rush back to soon otherwise.

I think he needed to get a few club matches under his belt and so totally think it's fine for players coming back from lengthy lay offs to play for there clubs.
Ye'd think they were made from glass the way some of ye wrap them up.

Interesting to hear last night on The Sunday game how many people went for Donegal for Ulster but Tyrone for the AI. Dont think Spillane liked it too much.
Love the way Tohill has zero respect for Spillane at all and often wont answer his biased questions? He's a good speaker and isnt such a mad eejit as Brolly.

Any other injuries yesterday or where all the other Tyrone lads off for a training session?

Neutral, SON has only play one full game for us this season against Pomeroy and then came on for only 12 minutes against Kildress scoring 1.01.

IMHO, he's like Dooher though in that he's mad keen to play and often comes back too soon and not a big fan of rest.

I'd like to see him run less with the ball as he always trys to stay on his feet and has usually 2 men hanging out of him which takes a lot out of ye.
He's as strong as a horse and so rides a lot of tackles which is why refs dont always give me frees that a smaller forward would get.

Wouldnt be that surprised to see Justy at Midfield.
He's a big lad isnt he and doesnt he play there the odd time for Omagh although I know he'd be very inexperienced.

Hub definitely adds steel and good partner for attack minded sean but he's not the cutest of players and he is likely to get an early yellow which for him is a very think tightrope the rest of the match.

I'd  be happy with Calvo at FF. Great fielder though needs to stop this foot in a man's back crack as he uses that a lot to get extra height.
Two great feet and a smart head on the field anyway. I dont like the way though at CHF he often takes too long to hit in the pass as is always trying to do the killer pass.

Would young Gormley deserve a run out at CF?

Yeah if he had Mickey Harte by his side he would have got off I reckon as the Ulster council are scared of Tyrone's red hand brigade

::)

Apparently Mickey has asked the Ulster council to allow Cavlan to take his dogs into the pitch but Mugsy might take advantage as he did in Croker wan time picking up a dog

I would LIKE to see

Curran - Wont come out blind like Packie does to punch
Ricey - Great tight marking defender who rarely gives away frees and falls to his knees to pay homage the odd time
McMahon - THink this is best position though recent stories concern me.
McCaul - Havent saw too much of him but he looks a big strong lad that can tackle well
Harte - Same old Davy but GOd he is so slow.
Block - Needs to get back to what he was but great reader of the game
Jordan - As above and can attack better than some HFs
Sean - Best player in squad now but would be nice to see the odd simple one two pass occassionally
Hub  - Needs to wise up and keep the head. Maybe a liability now as Refs know what he can do
Dooher - Hoover with a new bag installed. Was immense last Sat and eat your words those who think he's a spent force.
Cavlan - Can be best forward we have but no doubt will get dogs abuse all season if he plays or is fit to play
Mulgrew - Intelligent and accurate footballer (Came on since last year)
Mugsy - Free taker and goal taker but COULD be so much more if head is right and near Hill 16
Colm Cav - New target man and score taker and think he has a big future
McGinley - Roaming as 3rd Midfielder and covering Sean

Thats quite a big strong team all thru with lots of intelligent players throughout.

Leaving
Dermot Carlin - Attacks too much and not a great man marker
Mickey Magee- Good CB to come in if someone gets a yellow card or a roasting
Peter Donnelly - HHHHmmm NO THANKS
Colin Holmes - Always injured but again can come in almost any central positions. How would he fair Up front?
Justin McMahon - Yeah great defender could get No7
Gourley - Good defender but always injured
Paul Quinn - Good player for club but never saw him for Tyrone

Kelvin Hughes - Not convinced yet
Mellon - Unlucky to miss out and can play MF or in the forward line

SON - Will get it back but again always injured
Niall Gormley - Looked very good in League and could get a CF slot
McCullagh - Similar to above
Rouse - Dont know enuf but heard was good in McKenna cup
McCarrons - Havent saw them but sound very accurate.

A few more but fingers getting sore now.

Brian McGuigan- Can we wait to see? Pressure is on him

Thanks T.O. Not sure how long that's beat up there but yanked it out now.

Yes it does seem a coincdence but I think nothing more than that.
Cavanagh and players like him are now high profile and have to reply to the media when asked.

Cant see players purposely deciding to not try harder or no longer fight for their places because of what is going on at board level.

Look at McGuigan himself. He's the one that has suffered with all this but he cant wait to get back into the team.
I think come June's semifinal/Qualifier you will see a determined hungry Tyrone again, especially if Dooher and Mickey have any influence at all.

Players like Mugsy, Cavlan and even Block and Ricey know they cant keep up that tempo all year round but hopefully when they try to turn it on in summer days that it will come back.

Anybody wanna try to name a team if it was this week? Your selection and not what you think Mickey will pick.

Do you really think the Players or even Mickey give a damn about the county board?
Do you really think this affects there performance on the pitch.

They have their own hunger and desire and I think they've just took their pedal of the Gas since 2005 for one reason and another but the question is when they put the pedal to the metal will it all come together smoothly as they hope.
They know that every defeat will be still tarnished with
"Och aye they'll never perform completely without Peter" Even though they did for most of 2005.

Surprising the No of media correspondents who have tipped them for at least Ulster if not AI semi at least.
Hopefully our list will read

Fermanagh
Donegal
Derry
Dublin
Mayo
Kerry

Pack of F**king kids the lot of ye back at this cr@p again.

And then ye wonder why other members of the board cant stand Tyrone and Armagh posters.

Who gives a **** which is better?

Real Mathematics
2 AI=6 USFC? Prove?
Catch a grip lads and think when ye open yer mouth (fingers) that ye respresent yer county in here and will be judged accordingly.

I'm still happy to believe in our Mickey despite a very interesting League campaign, esp the persistance with Donnelly.

I think players like Mugsy and Cavlan are flair players and arent gonna work their socks off all year like maybe someone like Dooher or even Cavanagh.
I think Mickey will get their heads right again after a shaky enuf start v Fermanagh but we have the talent there and just think it requires fine tuning and hunger hunger hunger.

Bit worried about Joe McMahon's form for Omagh and weekend and as usual will SON, Mugsy and Cavlan stay injury free for matches.
Another thing which we had very little of in 2003 & even in 2005(bar Ricey) was red cards.
Recently a lot of the forwards and Hub get silly yellows cos Refs dont protect them so they retaliate themselves.

I'm thinking we can have a good season that will grow as we go and that Mickey has this time covered his a$$ a bit more by giving a lot of new guys lots of games in the league. Even if he leaves this season or next there are quite a few new players with some experience now.

Any team news Lads?

Trying to finalise my Fantasy GAA team and need a few scoring Defenders? Brady?
Who will be in goals for both teams this year?

Who are yer free takers this year? Brewster or Rory Gallagher?
Is this guy Pierson as good as ye all say? Where's he play, CF?

What about Down?
Think ye'll go far this year. Will the winner beat Monaghan?

Was at the Errigal v Clanns game and we certainly gave them a big scare though Mr Sludden certainly tried his best to help us along the way.
I was surrounded by Errigal fans and the crack was good bar one loud mouth who I enjoyed winding up.

Errigal lead by one or max two points through most of the 1st half but couldnt break clear with most scores coming from Daisy frees. He's looked on fire and is lightening fast but our full back line held the errigal forwards reasonably well.

With NO SON we were always gonna struggle winning possesion in the forward line but thanks to Sludden we got our fair share of easy frees and gleefully took them with the odd tenner in sluddens back pocket.

Anyway wasnt too impressesed with Errigal at all with Enda McGinely starting well at midfield but think Dooher did well against him despite a few inches shorter. Dooher looks back to his best and as usual got a crack to the face as did Adrain Ball with loads of blood. He ran all day as usual and looks to have the injuey over him and the hunget back.
Had we had SON we could have made it an interesting weekend with the two big guns knocked out.

Yeah Peter the Saviour came on last 10 mins and even though he hadnt played all year in the 1st team, his presence alone had the desired effect, even if he did lift his fist once and probably deserved to go though I was very far away so didnt get a good view.

Davy Harte and Paul Quinn looked the pick of the Errigal crew with big Enda fading big time in 2nd half.

We might run them close if we'd Stevie at FF but then again we beat Kildress away last weekend and he only played for 12 minutes. Mind you he did score 1.01
Our defense was superb I believe, especially Adrian Ball scoring 3 points from Half back.

Looking forward to it. Who is the 2nd game in Carrickmore on Sat night?

Slippery Road lads Slippery Road!  >:(

If they let them in the door for a few matches then they'll see how much money they can make as suddenly RTE have lost it.
Look at the soccer and Heneikin cup rugby games. Sure if you dont have sky or go to the pub now then ye'd see very little soccer.

As usual its the punters ourselves who dont realise basic Economics that Consumer is King and if we dont buy it then its not profitable.
If we dont go to the pub then they wont bother buying the licence to show it and it will return to Terrestrial.
But people want everything NOW and HANDY and fall for all the Jazzy ads, special camera angles and player cams etc.

Most people have email now at home and at work so I say Lettuce show them the power of the consumer and of EMAIL and lets all bombard the thesundaygame@rte.ie
with thousands of emails saying we pay your wages so
WE DONT wanna hear that Ugly Whinging Kerry F**KER messing up a good program.
WE DONT wanna listen to Brolly interrupt every other speaker.
WE DONT wanna see NO CHIN Marty New Suit & tie Morrissey interview Paddy Ni Braino talk about the price of calves in Cavan.
Can we not get descent commentators that know who's who. (Last week Ger Canning kept calling Donegal - Armagh) like Darragh Maloney.
I'm tired listening to Tony Davis agreeing with everyone else and licking Spillane's a$$ even though he hates Kerry

>:(

Can you imagine the uproar in the papers if people power ousted these half wits from the high paid jobs just cos we stood up and spoke ouir minds

Come on Tom Humphries, lets see what the real media can achieve and give the people what they want.

::) Rant over  ::)
