It's nicely set up for famous Irish victory against Australia next week.

I fear a wee bit for Ireland against the Aussies. I think Cheika will be desperate not to go home with a 1/3 record in the November series.

That being said they are tired at the end of a long season. So basically I'm sitting on the fence.

Well done Omagh, great achievement getting to the final. Ronan O'Neill is in some form.

Must be something in those large plates of spuds he's turfing into himself, some arse for one arse

Let him ate all the spuds he wants the way he's playing. He's been unstoppable thus far. Hope he can translate that to the county stage.

Not for his attacking ability, he is pretty headless.
I wouldn't say headless but he is still learning IMO
But offers a lot more to the team - I'd have expected we would have been destroyed on that wing if Brady was there instead!
If ward plays then McLean must play - how often was McLean defending the left wing with ward nowhere in sight!!!!!

I'd actually like to try McLean at lb with Brady in front of him

Or see McLean  at l wing back in a 352

Ward is absolutely stone useless. Is there no one else? He's never in the right position defensively and any time he gets the ball he just lumps it forward.

Anyone hazard a guess as to the starting XV for Sunday? Is it worth resting one of Payne/Henshaw or better to build the partnership? D'Arcy should be back in contention. Redden and Madigan at 9/10 you'd think.

It seems that Darren Cave, Craig Gilroy and Dave Foley will get game time if this is to be believed.

Obviously I don't want this happening before a big game but it looks like it already so I am hoping someone has burst that Keane **** and he gets to f**k from this Ireland squad. Shouldn't have been allowed near it in the first place, the p***k

Hope it was Stokes that did it. Love Stokesy

Tell us what you really think about him  :P

Omagh will walk over the top of St eunans and more than likely have far too much for either of the other semi finalists. Lump on early and often!

Have to agree. I'd have Omagh as favourites for Ulster, slightly ahead of Clontibret. Think they have the swagger of Ulster champs.

Someone asked me what do the November Tests actually count for. Apart from world rankings and building up momentum and form, I was stuck for an answer. While it was great beating a SH team surely the 6Nations is of more significance going in to the World Cup?

On the game itself thought Payne had a great game. I had doubted he would have the physicality for all the Boks traffic through the middle but he more than held his one. O'Mahoney is superb. His attitude and aggression stand him apart. He's like the lad that everyone wants on their team heading out to play your local rivals.

Beat Georgia next week and set up for Oz in the last test. Their fly half Begley (Meath Man?) looks the part.

I don't know why but the November Internationals are taken very seriously by all teams and are far from what you'd get in a soccer friendly. They just don't do friendlies in Rugby for some reason which is great as you can be sure both teams are going hell for leather.

Fair play!

I wonder do SANZAR take it as seriously as the European teams. Half to say I love the November tests. Something about the Aviva on a cold Dublin day with only the burgers and pints to warm ye up!

From what i heard he is going to Dungannon, not sure how true that is. Im sure hes big enough to take it  :-X

Can't see Dungannon taking him. Young Walsh is a fine full back and the Clarkes seem to have put their faith in this decent young crop of players coming through.

Team to face South Africa. Interesting midfield selection.

15. Rob Kearney (UCD/Leinster) 55
14. Tommy Bowe (Belfast Harlequins/Ulster) 54
13. Jared Payne (Ulster) *
12. Robbie Henshaw (Buccaneers/Connacht) 3
11. Simon Zebo (Cork Constitution/Munster) 8
10. Jonathan Sexton (Racing Metro 92) 45
9. Conor Murray (Garryowen/Munster) 28
1. Jack McGrath (St. Mary's College/Leinster) 10
2. Sean Cronin (St. Mary's College/Leinster) 35
3. Mike Ross (Clontarf/Leinster) 41
4. Devin Toner (Lansdowne/Leinster) 17
5. Paul O'Connell (Young Munster/Munster) 94 (capt)
6. Peter O'Mahony (Cork Constitution/Munster) 23
7. Chris Henry (Malone/Ulster) 16
8. Jamie Heaslip (Naas/Leinster) 67

Replacements:

16. Richardt Strauss (Old Wesley/Leinster) 4
17. Dave Kilcoyne (UL Bohemians/Munster) 10
18. Rodney Ah You (Corinthians/Connacht) 1
19. Mike McCarthy (Lansdowne/Leinster) 15
20. Rhys Ruddock (St. Mary's College/Leinster) 3
21. Eoin Reddan (Lansdowne/Leinster) 55
22. Ian Madigan (Blackrock College/Leinster) 10
23. Felix Jones (Shannon/Munster) 6

That midfield doesn't fill me with confidence. I think Henshaw could be the man for the 13 jersey. I have my doubts about Payne there. He's a smashing FB but don't know if he has the skill set for 13. Also our depth props wise is scary. And not in a good way. Ah You doesn't have the stamina for it.

There are some boys on the Cross team that think they are county standard when clearly they are not. Yesterday's result should help that dawning.
I would agree there in part. David McKenna looked slow and ponderous when he came on. It would appear though that the Armagh SFC does Cross no favours.

Was Mc Kenna not away travelling for a large part of the year? Thought someone mentioned that previously. Not sure

What did T Kernan do?

Congratulations to Omagh - I see they are favourites to win outright now with the bookies - it would be some achievement.

In other news Kildress have appointed a new manager - Barry Dillon (trainer of Ardboe last year and Jordanstown)

Any other managerial appointments? Mc Cabe still with Donaghmore? What about the Moy, is Philly Jordan staying on? Eglish keeping Clarke and McGahan?

What's the senior club draw in ulster now?

Think its

St Eunans  v Glen's willy  [Eunans a point up at HT]
winner plays Roslea
Omagh v (Roslea or St Eunans  v Glenswilly) in one semi

Cavan Gaels or Slaughtneil
winner plays Clontibret in other semi

Plenty of ball to be played yet.

Clontibret will fancy it now.

Based on today Omagh will have a say in things.
