How disappointing was that. I think a few jockeys underestimated the opposition, ridiculous tactics by some I think.

I'm gonna go straight on the nose for SYT, he's irresistable for me at 6.2 on betfair, I know your not convinced DH and probably for good reason because you know a hell of alot more than me! I hope for once your proven wrong by SYT.

On Galikova the ground will suit but I think she has to much to find to really trouble SYT or Sarafina. I would say SYT is definitely the best horse in the race, but we don't know how good Sarafina really is or can be at the moment. And is it just me but on form, despite the ground concerns, do any of you not think Workforce is overpriced? Might go for a place on betfair with Workforce at 3.85.

I wouldnt be so sure.  Im from a school of thought that the senior championship should be promoted and dont let the lads settle for anything less,  before long they'll realise they can still take pints, see a lass on a Saturday night, win a medal on a Sunday and whilst its not seniors they can still say they play for their local town. Id do away with reserves, and just have 3rds teams.

I come from a school of thought that the police should not be involved in gaa matters but i do believe that the powers that be in the gaa should sort this matter out and the player should face a very hefty suspension i just think that getting the police involved stinks it

Snippets I was wondering if you made up this school of thought that you attended but obviously winghalfback is from the same "school of thought" with his equally moronic post regarding the incident with the Brackaville lad.

Would this philosophical "school of thought" you men happened to have attended be the South West College or Belfast Met.

good one

Take that as a yes, how you can suggest that just because something happens on the pitch it should not feel the force of the law is pathetic, no matter what the incident was in the Brackaville game. What about the young lad in San Francisco? Do you not think it should be dealt with through the law?

Do you think that a player would be less likely to commit such thuggery if he knew that perhaps a custodial sentence lie in wait? If this would lead to an end to these sorts of incidents surely it is worth it, no?

Lads has anyone got any experience of the Playstation Move?

Reason I ask is because I have a Wii and a PS3,  I very rarely use the Wii but I am going to invest in more games/equipment for one of them to make the most of it. If it helps I would mostly be interested in sports games like golf/table tennis and maybe the odd FPS. Which one would be more worthwhile going for? Another bonus is the PS3 is available in HD while I don't think I can get my Wii in HD, maybe it's because it's an older version, or Nintendo doesn't support it?

Haven't really been on since before Goodwood since I have been away travelling. Only watched the Frankel vs. Canford Cliffs there tonight. My god he was impressive, Queally seems to have bucked up. When's Frankel for out next?

Is he better than Sea The Stars DH? :o

Folks, I am looking to get an i phone 4 or HTC android phone.  Which would be the better bet to go along with?  My mate showed me last night on his i phone 4 the Sky on the go ap which i was pretty impressed with.  Can you get that on the HTC?

I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S2, upgrading from an iPhone 3gs. I found the switch over to Android easy and I must say I prefer it for a number of reasons.

Androids fantastic, but so is IOS, just in different ways. With android the capablities are far greater and it is a lot more customizable, initially I had my Samsung setup in a similar way to the iPhone, but I have changed it to a new layout to suit the way I use my phone.

One thing IOS comes up trumps in my eyes is syncing contacts, music, pictures etc etc through itunes. It just seems a hell of alot simpler with itunes. While on android (with the galaxy anyway) there are various different apps/programs/methods available to sync your data between phone and computer that I don't know which method to use half the time. Though I haven't found any real complications, anytime I have wanted something on my phone I have got it without to much fiddling about. But I am still missing that one stop shop program which I had when using iTunes.

Basically, if your the sort of person who will fiddle with your phone, download some apps that may be of help, want to setup your phone in your own way and have a basic understanding of technology you will love android.
If you want the simple option, a top class phone, everything done for you, easy syncing, simplicity, go for the iPhone.

I prefer Android, simply because I can edit it to suit me, I download games that would cost a fortune on iTunes app market and I utilise the extra features on my phone. Though my girlfriend, for example, prefers Apple, because she just wants a top phone with some impressive features without having to do a thing. It's what you want out of your phone basically, you sort of have a blank canvas with Android and you can put your own touch on it, while IOS it is all done for you.

Big one kicks off on sunday, anyone fancy making a few predictions;

Moortown vs Eglish
Derrylaughan vs Cookstown
Clonoe vs Trillick
Dromore vs Moy
Coalisland vs Killyclogher
Omagh vs Donaghmore
Greencastle vs Ardboe
Errigal vs Carmen

I've went for an upset or two, god it is wide open this year, there is going to be some cracking quarter finals. Hope Harte has a keen look anyhow for a bit of fresh talent for next year.

Throughout his career Clarke has been infamous for missing those short putts, there seems to be one every round! Hope they don't come back to haunt him. Would love to see the big guy win it.

Though I don't think there would be as much debate regarding his religious/political/national belief's as there was after Rory's win  :D

Lads I usually play with ProV/ProV1X but they are pretty damn expensive, and for the level I am playing at I doubt they make much of a difference to my game. Saying that, any other balls I have in my bag are pretty hard/distance balls and don't give me a good feel at all. I will happily sacrifice a couple of yards for extra feel. I started buying the ProV lake balls or refinished balls on eBay but they simply scuff/scratch/mark/crack far too easy, even the A grade ones.

Can any of you recommend a cheap soft ball, or somewhere where you can purchase high quality soft balls, or balls with a good feel that will last me numerous rounds.

In fairness, that'is not much to go on. Are they expensive cause you lose them during a round or is it because the non lake pro v's cut up too much?

My thoughts are if you lose more than 3 balls per round forget about premium balls. If you want a more durable ball with the similar performance use the Taylormade Penta. Now if your a high handicapper, forget about the premium balls, as people forget that any ball designed to spin will also increase side spin and make that dirty slice more pronounced ;)

I normally use Penta's, Pro v's shredded too much for me and it was too expensive buying balls. I also use Srixon AD333's in windy conditions (and the winter) when I want a lower penetrating ball flight.

Something like the bridgestone e6 or nike distance soft would maybe what you are after. Again depends on your handicap, how hard you swing etc.... The srixon AD333 for me would be a good compromise too.

I play off 10. I can notice the difference in a hard and soft ball just by hitting it though I haven't really experienced any other soft ball apart from Pro V's or the odd one I find. They are very expensive because they cut up, they only last 3/4 rounds before they really start getting bad. While brand new ones break my heart to buy.

I was playing with srixon z-star this evening, seemed ok, is the AD333 a better ball? By looking on internet srixon seems to be the one for best balance of value/performance.

How often does the Cup of Nations be played? This used to be a problem with the Copa America, up until a few years ago it was played every 2 years, but now it's every 4. Looking forward to seeing Neymar myself, but going by what I've read in the build-up, I'm more interested to see Ganso, who also plays for Santos.

It's played every 2 years. Currently it is in even numered years, so one in every two competitions clashes with the world cup. They are changing this so that there is no clash. There will be a tournament in 2012, and then in 2013, then 2015 etc.

Wouldn't say it is a shame Mexico are sending a second string side, you can't really blame them after already having a full tournament behind them, and that full tournament is their primary football association and involves the countries in their continent.

I'm no boxing expert or mind guru, but does anyone else get a sense that Haye is sort of nervous. From what I have seen of him lately compared to previous fights there is just an edge that is missing. Been so impressed with Klitchsko, the way he handles himself and he's a great talker. Seen him on BBC Breakfast a few months ago and he was great on it.

Haye adds a bit of hype and I like his cockiness but I think he might be more bark than bite. Would love to see Klitchsko knock him out just so I don't have to listen to the British media.

Can you imagine what papers like the Sun on Monday morning will be like if Haye wins and Andy Murray wins Wimbledon?
