I thought one of the players was interviewed beforehand and he said that only one player had passed away but it turned out he had presumed that incorrectly, with the "dead" guy being the "I love Cavan" guy. The wife and kid might be standing in for someone who was too sick to make it.

Maybe the "I love Cavan" guy is the husband of the woman in the front and he fecked off to London 30 years ago to busk rather than put up with her anymore. She turned up ready to get the whole sympathy treatment and now she's sitting there thinking how she is going to pay back the life insurance she cashed in on him. He's there smiling to himself wondering would she be up for it tonight.   ;D ;D

;D ;D you really should get someone to publish that book

is it a case now that Dromore are out in front by a country mile, ahead of the chasing pack..yes Ardboe will challenge that theory in 2 weeks time..but the Blues seem to be the ones to catch, and are still relatively young (albeit a few obvious exceptions- ricey and mccullagh who will probably still be about for a few years yet), which suggests their dominance may be for a while..i would class Ardboe, Carmen, Errigal, Omagh & Clonoe now of a similar level coming in behind Dromore

We have played Dromore 3 times this season. 2 draws and one defeat by one score. Don't thing that is a country mile by anyone's standards. They are a good outfit and have now got the experience needed to see out Championship games. They rightly will be considered favourites for the final. I would prefer to see Ardboe win it.
why?
Reckon most clubs will be backing the underdog next sunday. Also Ardboe are a good club and good club men, would be happy to see them bridge an 11 year gap. and i'd safely say most if not all club men in the east will be cheering them. Then again dromore wouldn't have won many fans in recent years.

Also We've played dromore once this year and won missing quite a few senior players, and we also beat them in our last head to head in championship football. :)
wtf has that got to do with anything.
Dromore are also a good club with good clubmen and have been the best team in the county for a few years now. I think they will win and i hope they do.

Absolutely Orior - not doubting his credentials at all. ulster clubs are hard to win and particularly for an antrim club.
also won a championship with blayney?

Did indeed, our last one in 2003 and should have given Ulster a rattle only to loss a player after 5 minutes against Four masters in Clones in a replay.

Very highly rated in Blayney, loved the physical stuff and expected commitment that he didn't get from all players at the time and why he probably left before his time was up. Went to St Galls and club where very disappointed at the time, as he had committed and started the year.

Funny that, he had committed to Errigal Ciaran this year before jumping ship

NY senior championship Semi final replay today between Cork and Tyrone.  Down made it through to the final last week with a surprising win over favourites Leitrim, thanks to great performances from Packie Downey and Gareth O Neill.
Cork go into todays game as favourites, Rory Woods of Monaghhan and Ciaran Lyng from wexford lead their attack while Tyrone will be looking to Jonny Murtagh of Crossmaglen for the most of there scores.

who won

SS2 - McGuigan shades Blaney in my book because he knew (knows) where the posts are. His performance in the 2005 AI final was the best I ever saw.

No offence to McGuigan, but he isnt good enough to clean Blaneys boots.

Ah now thats pure rubbish

Here goes...
I honestly believe that Maurice Fitz was greatly over rated. He may be the most naturally talented footballer ihave ever seen but definately not the best. There is a huge difference. Indeed i would rate Moynihan and Dara O Se as better footballers. Neither would possess the god given talent of Fitzgerald but i wiuld rather have either of them in my team.
Ready for the backlash from the purists

Been a change to some groups. We now have An Riocht (Down), Naomh Aban (Cork) and Corofin (Galway) (instead of Easkey) Probably doesn't make it any easier. We're fixed fror St Benildus.

Why the change ?
