Just watched a repeat of the Sligo v Galway game the other night.

A very high standard of football and probably the match of the year so far.

Mayo will have there work cut out against a very physical Galway team and if we give Joyce the freedom of Salthill we are in big trouble.

This all adds up to Galway been the hottest of favorites for Connaught and looking like favorites again for Sam.

I suppose Mayo will have to look again through the back door.

I actually think you were watching a different game :o, because the standard in my opinion was very poor, some of the players could not even solo the ball, your entitled to your opinion I suppose.

neighbours is a ridiculous show compared to the bay, very good these days and some epic storylines on the way!! hopefully gardy will kill off miles (most annoying character on tele) one of the days

Aidan O'Shea, on top of everything else, will spend part of the next three weeks writing the Exam Diary in the Irish Times: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2009/0602/1224247881255.html

It's quite droll, and very well done for a young lad, but my God, how does he find the time?  :o

Fair play to him, Pierce Hanley was the next big thing, but I think Aidan is definetely the next big thing in mayo football.

Was one of the only ones in the breaffy-ballagh championship game who tried till the end in my opinion.

And again. Middlesbro are crap

So were Spurs yesterday in the second half !!!
So I have no real fear heading for Wednesday night.
If we can just hold them to a draw and then take them at the Emirates.

silvestre is giving me nightmares for wednesday night. :o

still doesnt seem right having Silvestre in a gooners shirt, get rid in summer and get some world class centre-half  in

just to settle a bet, can anyone tell me the last time mayo played in the bottom tier of the league, the person arguing with me is from sligo so not much credibility there
I don't know if they ever did.
I certainly don't recall them ever (dis)gracing the very bottom division.
They were in Div 3 in '96, the year they were to become good in the championships and had spent the season before in Div 2.
In later years they were to be found in Div 1B but that was based on geographical grounds and IA and IB were of equal merit.
(I'm using Willie Joe's excellent results archive to help out a dodgy memory here.)

cheers, now to claim my money

Yeah, that was lazy, I admit it - I'm "mortified". There, that's what you wanted to hear isn't it!?

Anyway, shouldn't you be at WWE in the O2 watching your other heroes?  ;)
