4, another from you know who. Liverpool deserved their scores but Norwich really should be on the scoreboard by now too.

If they are good enough Rodgers will play them, no matter who signed them.
...as long as their name is Luis Suarez  ;)

Have to say I'm delighted. Downing may well be a lovely guy, but as a professional footballer he's been a major disappointment. What makes him worse than others in my eyes is he obviously has the talent, but the lack of application and heart is the bare minimum expected a Anfield. Far more limited players have held in higher esteem, or at least respected for their effort.

QuoteI don't waste my time waiting until January to tell both players what I know now. So they know in relation to the demands of what we want and certainly what it is going to take for us to succeed and for them to fit into the dynamics of the group.

Thought this was the killer line, and what sets him apart from a lot of managers. Most would look at the squad situation and try to jolly along senior players until the transfer window, but not BR! He seems to leave players in no doubt of what he thinks and expects. It's refreshing. I imagine he would have gladly got rid of Downing earlier, and all the shi-ite abou playing left back was designed to get his agent moving. Of course at this point no one would pay his wages, as I'm sure Rodgers is not overly concerned about recouping that much of a fee - wasn't his signing after all. One thing though, is it my imagination or has he systematically rid himself of most of Kenny's signings? While I see what he's doing, and wouldn't disagree necessarily, I wonder is it possible to change his mind? For instance does Jordan Henderson have any chance, or should he just look for a new club?

Great win for the Swans, 91-81, back and forth through the 3rd quarter but the game in the mix all the way through the final quarter, cracking game!

Not doing themselves any favours by not meeting the sports minister.
"We have been the victims of sectarian abuse but we don't want no filthy Fenian fcuker near our wee club."

I'm afraid that's what I took from it too, any sympathy out the window

QuoteMr McSorley confirmed that the club had turned down the opportunity to have Ms Ní Chuilín visit the club.

"It's not about photo opportunities," he said.

WTF? Like a Sinn Féin minister would be gagging to have their photo taken at their dingy boxing club. Seriously? Livin' in an alternate universe "we want some money, but could you f**k off from around us?"

I suppose you can't compare the two as Rio Ferdinand actually came out with a racial comment against another player yet Terry is only alleged to have came out with a racial comment against another player.

Hold on, did Rio make the remark, or comment on someone else making the remark?

I do agree it was a terrible thing to say BTW, it is one of the worst insults a black person can throw at another, choc-ice/coconut/uncle Tom.

Wasn't there a couple of previous incidents where Terry is alleged to have made racist comments?

One with Ledley King, which was glossed over at the time, but led to all the black Spurs players withdrawing from the next English squad as far as I recall.
