Not a bad draw for us either!

game we should win if we play to our potential.  Though it is the Championship and any complacency i am sure Anportmor will make us pay.  When Newtown won the championship 2 years ago, they were fortunate get past the blackwater men after a replay.  First round is best chance to cause a shock imo.  The intermediate would have pretty clear favourites in all games bar the Keady/Shane's game which could go either way.

UTD diehard fan, season ticket holder and was at the game today. I've never posted on here before as i really cant be arsed with the RLL v Ross petty arguement which seems to dominate this thread in one way or another.

Very soft penalty but can see why it was given. Had it been the other end i'd be fuming. Gerrard deserved a red card, stupid stupid tackle albeit hardly deliberate or malicious. Very very stupid though and was more a bearing on the result than the pen.

Before the red,Liverpool were well on top in terms of attitude, work rate and endeavour. Never threating to score though in my eyes. In the 2nd half, how UTD did'nt score a second or third is beyond me.

Howard Webb is getting unreal abuse here. Can any of you pool fans recall the league game at OT earlier this season??? When UTD outplayed you in all facets of the game and were leading 2-0

Did he award you a pen which led to a goal? Did he award you a free kick minutes later that led to the equaliser???  Yes is the answer to both. Was he right on both counts? Yes. Did he award both decisions based on his own view? No. The linesman gave both decisions, check it out, i'm talking facts. BUT he gave LIVERPOOOL a penalty. At OLD TRAFFORD!!

Today, it seemed he dwelt a bit before awarding the pen(from where i was). Why? I honestly, genuinely don't think he has the balls to make a major decision in a big match, always wants a 2nd opinion. He simply is'nt good enough. Nothing whatsoever to do with being a "utd/fergie fan"!!

I can understand pool fans having the hump and i probabaly would too. But please, please dont blame the ref for today. the best team won and i honestly believe 1-0 was flattering.

PS Pool fans(at the game) were great as usual, its those diehards which lower my hatred of liverpool to 100% from 90%.

fair play lad an honest assessment

I raised this question on orchardcounty.com.  Does he deserve his shout for the county in the McKenna any more or any less than John Murtagh given the fact that neither have been playing for their respective clubs in Armagh?
I think it's a complete disgrace that John Murtagh has been called up to the panel. What is the point of lads being on this additional panel (elite/development or whatever it's called) if Murtagh can walk off a plane from NY and straight onto the panel.  See O'Rourke saying that he had been playing well in NY and they wanted to have a look at him. Utter rubbish!!
Since when did playing well in a NY championship get you on to an Armagh panel??
He was hardly a regular on the Cross team before he left. IMO he's been living off a good Ulster final performance against Mayobridge some years back for too long.
I'd have reservations about Padden too but Murtagh's inclusion smacks of uncle Donal pulling a few too many strings.

by all accounts he did very well v galway no mean feet.  Good point made about the development squad though, the like of tasker, mcverry, campbell, rafferty sure to be annoyed.  Murtagh has shown potential before M.O.M in ulster club final v the Bridge.  the other lads will have their chance im sure possible last chance saloon at this stage for murtagh?

Has to be a wind up...........I'll believe it when I see it. Dunno about Joe Feeney at wing back.....
thought that myself.  was thinking about it last night, maybe try CV at chb, shift mckenna to the wing and move feeney to midfield.  he scored 11 points against us in the league last year and spent the majority of the time playing there.

Whats Gus Hiddink at these days?

would be an ideal candidate for 6months at least.

Players that should be sold:-

Konchesky
Skrtl
Kyragiokos
Johnson
Lucas
Babel
Kuyt
Carragher
Poulsen
Ngog

How much would you get for this lot?

would disagree with lucas and kuyt.  also you are going to get very little for carra at this stage, who imo should be a backup.

clowncheskey 2.5 mill
skrtel 3 mill
soto 0.5 mill
johnson 10 mill
babel 7mill
poulsen 2 mill
ngog 3.5 mill

If utd go undefeated all season that will be a better achievement that the invincilbes team.

Ehhhhh??

I think what he is hinting at is they are not as talanted a side as the Arsenal invincibles therefore a bigger achievement to go unbeaten.

By the way I think they will be beaten at some stage before the end of the league. They will win it though.

They certainly are not as talented as that Arsenal side EC I agree, but they are also playing teams of lesser ability than the Arsenal team had to face at the time. The point is moot anyway unless the unbeaten run continues to the end of the season!

would disagree with that, there is less of a gap between the teams in league this year, hence the majority of the top teams are on less points than previous years.  also teams like man city, spurs etc where nowhere near a title bid back then

Wouldn't be fan of McLeish myself at all. Birmingham play arguably the worst football in the the top flight. Not to mention until they won at Blackpool last night they were in the relegation zone. Hardly screams out future Liverpool manager to me.
