There's a rumour that someone has ordered 500 vuvuzela (red + white) to be distributed at underage blitzes in Derry over the next 6 weeks.

If it's due to the ccSvcHst.exe app that runs as part of Norton there's not a lot you can do.

Check in Task Manager to see how much of the CPU it's hogging.  There's times that it grabs 100% of CPU and freezes evertything.  I know you don't want to hear it but getting rid of Norton would be an improvement.  I've been down that route

Armagh the county of saints and fuel smugglers ..... Mullan never actually put the knee in that players balls - he actually got off the more senior charge after video evidence was presented at his appeal. Roll on sunday week.

u Derry men sound like a hardy bunch of hoors...if this talk keeps up we needn't bother our holes turning up as we'll be beat to death, jasus even our supporters could get a hiding ::)

Roll on Sunday week ;)

Not that I'm condoning it in any way but if you check with some of your fellow county men, you'll find it happened before when a few of the bogside residents took exception to some of the supporters antics.

I think you'll fit in fine here, Mattman, based solely on your apostrophe use.

I love apostrophe's, me, I do.

Fist pass better not f**king come in

1st i've heard of this
Well, it's a simple enough concept to grasp, you see. You simply fold your fingers in towards the palm of your hand. This forms a fist. When your hand is in this position, you strike the ball off the palm of your other hand to a team mate.

This is how I was shown to fist pass a ball when I was a child. I would bet that this is how everyone else was shown how to do it. Now that it's being enforced, I can't understand why it is an issue.

Because it slows the game down and is very difficult for refs to tell if it's being done correctly.
Nonsense. Sure just let them throw it then. It's a lot easier for a ref to know that it isn't a throw if it is struck with a fist.
It's not hard to do, just fist it.

By the way, is it a 'new' rule?

The 'fist' pass has been and should be used for longer distances --problem is it's not accurate at short distances and slows the game down if your trying to fist it to a man running off the shoulder

The hand pass needs to be kept as it keeps the game faster and cuts out the mistakes that would invariably occur if we were forced to pass with the closed fist.

The idea behind this is to increase kicking in the game but it wont do that, it wont change the game it will just make it worse.

The aussie rules technique is supposed to be a much more accurate delivery of the ball.

Any of you lads use the aussie rules fist pass technique?
