Yep O'Neill, though seems a bity late in the year, the wild garlic can have a very strong smell, was in Castle Leslie a few years back and the smell was great, will hoke out a few pics of the garlic there, parts of grounds where pure white with it

A true gentleman who will be sadly missed by all gaels in County Armagh, my thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
I have personal reasons to know that both Jack and his wife Joan are two great souls, he well always be remembered with fondness by so many.

From Armagh and will always support Ulster side (happy as a pig when Down, Donegal, and Derry  won in the 90s), then again grew up in an era when all Ulster were the same.
Down were once looked on as the team to beat with the same sort of banter as goes on with Tyrone supporters now.
Love to see them take Sam home again, Down's had great teams and hopefully this side will prove to be the same.

Re Maghery man taste'n div 1 football, if in 50/50 tackle he'd just not talk about it

Agree umpires have much more impact on a game but the linesman can have major affect on a games outcome too

In injury time of game, your team is 2 points in front and in a melee the ball goes out off an opposition player's foot, the linesman who supports that team or for some other reason wants to see your team beaten gives line ball to them.
High ball into square is fisted into net and the whistle blows for full time.

Not going to happen very often, but if the fifty, fifty decisions are constantly going against you they have an accumulative effect, perhaps a player losing his temper at constant  wrong decisions ending up on the line.

(In these PC days should lineman be linesperson  )

Any word on what happened after boxing in hotel?

Was told there was a row with bouncers and PSNI arrived and they used CS gas

Its on teletext that police were attacked on Frairy road which would indicate was outside the hotel grounds (unless that was said to protect the hotel from bad publicity)
