GAA Discussion / Re: Gaelic Football on TV

The black card isn't perfect but a bigger problem is the GAA public's inability to read and take in the rules as they are clearly written.

The public cannot understand the rules if referees apply them differently all the time. This and letting the "game flow" is leading to confusion and frustration amongst supporters and players. Apply the rules as stated and after a year of higher frustration things will get better.

No man has the right, bar management, to tell an amateur player to stop drinking. Talking about the €30 ticket in relation to this is ridiculous.

Had the unfortunate task of leaving the Mother in Law to the Europa bus station this morning. She couldn't have picked a better time ::) Right in the middle of the marches. Abandoned the car on Ormeau Road and then lead her on foot to the Europa. Can't fathom how anyone can enjoy that. The flutes are blowing that hard to be heard above the drums, which are just beat as loudly as they can be. Had to run across the Bedford Street between bands.

Has anyone in the North ever got a request for payment after not paying the M50 toll? If you did, what did you do?

Don't go! Oh, right...

Watch out for the speed cameras in the port tunnel.

Never been to Landsdowne myself so this thread will be useful. If I ever won tickets to the football.

Can you get a ticket from those? Seen my number plate pop up a few times a couple of years ago, but then again I've got a english reg car so maybe they thought it wasn't worth the hassle.

Wtf are they on about?? Stonewall black card and exactly the kind of thing that needs to be removed from the game. It was an innocuous challenge but he was prevention the fermanagh man getting back to help his defence.

Agreed. Refs are there to implement the rules. If the rules are shit then change them but to have referees apply them as they see fit is the reason that we are in the mess that we are. We can't complain about inconsistency and then demand it if other situations.

If refs did apply the rules rigidly then players/supporters would know the craic and either the rule gets obeyed or changed/binned.

Every time I click on the "new" icon to begin to read a thread from where I had left off, it throws me back to random posts at the start of March. I blame The Stallion for asking them to do new fangled stuff.

Always thought the scheme was discriminatory. Not surprised that someone took a case

Eldest is 6. He got a Kids fire tablet. Great job. He loves it. Has a 1 yr sub for loads of app/videos plus great parental controls. It even has a 2 yr breakage guarantee - even if the kid drops it.

How did bradley get sent off for that  :o

I think we'll see a Major drop in bids for the rights next time round as BT and sky come to realise that it not worth it commercially. Would be great to get to an affordable price point.  Either that or they'll start a heavy craic down on all the streaming services.

What does spoiling achieve? No matter which politician gets in they will claim a mandate and that they represent you even if you do vote/spoil your vote.

The DUP could replace all their candidates in the forthcoming election with real monkeys and their loyal supporters would vote for them regardless. Bottom line above anything else is keeping themuns out at any cost and by any means. Everything else, Brext, NAMA, Red Sky, RHI etc pales into insignificance when they are standing at the polling booth. They just can't bring themselves to put their mark anywhere else.

That is why people not voting/spoiling their vote is counter productive. People need to get out and vote to ensure DUP don't come back anywhere near the number of seat that they have.

All good -  I've had no issues with wifi. Only issues I have are the shitty bt hubs, but that affects all connected devices not just the fire tv.

+1 on the fire tv. The stick did my head in. With the tv the UI is more responsive. Stream load very quickly. Even possible to resume programs/films in the middle which was more or less impossible with the stick.
