How long will it take to get from Shannon to Milltown now? In the old days going through all the old villages it took about 2 hours to get to Milltown.
The Sawdoctors were right about taking the turn in Claregalway, once I passed church I became silent as I knew it wouldn't be long until I said goodbye to my parents again before heading back.

He posted some great videos online.

There's a reason the 'U' are called the Hurricanes I suppose.
Go canes!
The funny thing is that most of the people who live in the worst affected areas have no idea of the extent of the damage in the rest of the state. They won't have seen or have had access to the news since Sunday. The middle Keys look destroyed. I hope that's the last one for me, there's a lot to be said for the shitty Irish climate.

A crazy week, so many people with out power in this oppressive heat and humidity. September always sucks weather wise at the best of times. 8 elderly people found dead in a nursing home yesterday. I would say Iceman on the west coast got the full brunt of the storm, he is okay though.

Jason Doherty has been invaluable the last two games, when Cillian went off today he scored a free and a 45 that settled the the team when Kerry were making a run at Mayo.

David Gough the ref for Saturday. Prob the best ref out there, so happy enough with that.

A Meath man, what could possibly go wrong 😊

What's more frightening is that if Trump is impeached and has to resign, america gets Pense from Florida.

Florida has enough crazy politicians, no need to saddle us with Pence also☺

What's your verdict on Rochford, lads?

They seem to be ambling along under him and while unquestionably they were unlucky against Dublin last year, they used up a fair amount of their lives against Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry and Cork as well as two exits in Connacht against Galway.

McLoughlin seemed to have developed into a very effective sweeper last year and in the big games against Tyrone and Dublin it seemed to add them with a bit of defensive structure and security which they always seemed to lack in the big games. This year he seems to have been completely abandoned it and the ease at which Cork cut right through the middle of Mayo yesterday is very worrying from their point of view. Mayo really are the own worst enemies at times.

I remember last year in injury time against Tyrone they hit a really loose free across their own goals which was intercepted and McCurry snatched at a great chance to draw us level. Yesterday you had an experienced player like Alan Dillon doing pretty much the exact same thing again. Mayo's ability to self destruct is unrivaled in the game and more that a porous defence, management and player discord or lack of a marquee forward, it is what has cost them an All Ireland.

My problem with what the players did with Holmes and Connelly in 2015 was that there seemed to be zero introspection on their own part in why they never won an All Ireland, 2 years on and the same sort of meltdowns are still happening with Mayo footballers in pressure cooker situations. They're good enough to win but they seem determined not to address their propensity to explode.

I can't get my head around abandoning the defensive structure they had last year.

Slightly off topic but what is the story with Gaago?

I'd have assumed if you have paid for a stream on it that it would be top quality is this not the case?
Have never used it before.

They had problems during the Mayo/Galway game 3 weeks ago, it was working up until 10 minutes before throw in then it crashed, I presume it couldn't handle the amount of subscribers.  I haven't used it since.

I use Team ExPat. So far it's very good.
AZ, are the Irish and UK channels on Team Expat? I have Ultimate mania but I might get the second subscription for the GAA as a backup for the summer.

Sky Channels, RTE Channels, BBC all on there. Not sure about ITV etc.

I used Flawless IPTV over the weekend, got the $2 two days subscription, have to say it was excellent. GAAGO had a nightmare during Mayo/ Galway game, I wouldn't rely on it for big games again.
You watched the game live on RTE 2 with Flawless?

Yes, I used it again this weekend, the stream was excellent. It also has the Ivue EPG integrated so you see whats on all channels. Plus they have Catchup that lets you watch back over the 3 previous days.

I have rented out my first house for the last 13 years. The best tenants that I have had are single women, the worst was a school teacher and a Pre-med student. Thorough background and credit checks are a must, a person with a good credit history should be a good tenant. Check the references, especially from the previous landlord to the one they have now, the present landlord could be trying to get rid of the tenants. Take photos of the property before they move in. Once you have a good tenant do your best to keep them.
