only 8 of that team started last year's AISF. A very different Tyrone team.

2017 team

Tyrone: Niall Morgan; Aidan McCrory, Ronan McNamee, Cathal McCarron; Tiernan McCann, Padraig Hampsey; Peter Harte; Colm Cavanagh, Conall McCann; David Mulgrew, Niall Sudden, Kieran McGeary; Mark Bradley, Sean Cavanagh, Matthew Donnelly.

I have been buying Kingsmills 50/50 bread for years now and only when this faux outrage happened did I put the connection together. In fact, it is the only bread we have in the house. Take a quick look through his Facebook posts and there is a recent photo of him with a bottle of water on his head saying he can't find his water and he spent the past year posting photos of himself calling into various shops around the country looking for 99 ice creams and sprinkles! The only intention here was to post another silly photo of himself with something on his head in another shop in some part of the country. If he had posted a photo with a packet of Jaffa cakes on his head, the DUP/unionists would have taken offence. For some reason his posts that stuff in between travelling to Westminster, Brussels and Dublin.

At least wee Duff will have something else to talk now about rather than the goal he scored against Auger in the Championship in Beragh all those years ago.

I miss the days when it would be Tyrone players in those photos and everyone talking about the dirty players from Tyrone. Good ole days!

Technically Bannside, he should be training on his own away from the Dublin squad. I think that length of ban meant that he could have no involvement with the team, so could not train with them or play in A v B games. Could be wrong on that though.

Very interesting to see how Tyrone will cope with the pressure of an All Ireland semi against the Dubs. With the team of the 00's we knew going into battle with Ricey, Gormley, Jordan, Dooher, O'Neill and the rest, what you would get. This team I'm not so sure but the game is there for them to make a name for themselves. Dublin are tried and tested, Tyrone are not. That said it is a big ask for Dublin to go to the well each year and come out on top. Like Tyrone they have coasted their way to this stage and perhaps when the pressure is applied they may not just be as manic in the tackle as they have been for the past few years. You would assume that Tyrone will be more hungry than Dublin so it will be some credit to Dublin if they can match Tyrone in intensity after so long on the road. If they are focussed as Tyrone, then you feel that Dublin have the edge.

I thought Tyrone were very average yesterday. Combined some decent play with lots of sloppy play. I guess once Tyrone went up 8 points in the first few minutes, the game was never going to be a contest. Players drop the intensity that little bit but still too many mistakes and poor play.

Armagh were so poor that even when Tyrone played middlin they still won by 18 points. It seems as if the only tight games the top 3-4 teams can get is at their own training sessions. Tyrone will have to raise the levels considerably for the Dublin game.

A couple of observations from yesterday. Peter Harte is some player. Tiernan McCann has turned into a serious player for Tyrone. He has a great dummy where he motions one way and then goes the other. But it is done at pace and he is past you in a flash. He always solos with the head up. Sludden not as influential as he normally is. Had a great game against the Dubs in the league, so hopefully, he can repeat that. Mattie Donnelly gets a ton of ball and rarely wastes it but you still expect more from the lad but maybe that is unfair on him.

Hospital pass to Colm Cavanagh but Donaghy came out with the intention to nail Cavanagh and caught him with the knee. Hopefully nothing more than a knock as he is so important to the way Tyrone play.

Jamie Clarke lucky to stay on the field when he dropped his knees onto McCann (I think). McCarron wasn't impressed by that and he picked up a card for his reaction.

Harte not inclined to change winning teams but there a few Tyrone players that should be struggling to keep their places. You do feel that Tyrone have been building themselves up for a shot at Dublin. We'll see what they are like in a few weeks time. Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for!

Morgan back taking free kicks again. What's that all about?

the video is pretty bad, both teams getting stuck in. Dungannon manager does take a right beating as well. Ref seemed to call the match off at that stage. You would imagine that the video will fall into the hands of the country board at some stage.

QuoteI womder will he ever tell us what happened his eye in 05??

No need I can tell you exactly what happened. I was sitting in the front row of the Davin stand top deck just to the left of the posts. McConnell was out at the edge of the small square and Ricey was out a bit further. Cooper was in on the end line and making shapes to dart one way or the other. McConnell was looking over both shoulders to see which way Cooper was going to make his run and then made himself big by holding out both arms and as Cooper made a run past his right he must have caught the edge of McConnell's glove. Ricey was nowhere the place. Umpires saw all and no action was needed.

Were the black cards to Sludden and McGeary harsh? Will Sludden miss the Derry game as that is two black cards this season? Black card to Hughes in the Monaghan game was a bad call as well.

Majority of people in NI wanted to remain in EU - 56% - 44% in favour of Remain. DUP have nothing to be smug about. DUP campaigned hard for a Leave vote for here but that did not happen. Surely Foster must now resign!!

Some of the Tyrone lads could take a leaf out of Michael Murphy's book. Took a box to the mouth and stood his ground. There's a lot to be said about manning up in these situations and quit the messing. McCann should be seriously embarrassed with what happened yesterday. Why would a player do that? How would you even think of diving when someone touches your hair. You first reaction would be to push them away not falling to the ground. That was ridiculous and it will likely reck his head now and he won't be the same player in the next game (if he plays, I see Colm O'Rourke has asked for him to be banned, which will likely happen now). Would you not think that Sean Cavanagh would be embarrassed at this stage as well? FFS man stand up and stop acting the maggot. Sublime at times and ridiculous at other times.

I don't care how the Monaghan players behaved themselves in the last 1/4 of that game. The joy of winning at match is Croke Park soon looses it's shine when you see shite like that on TV afterwards. It doesn't have to happen, what it shows is a lack of self belief that the football ability isn't there to kill a game off that they were leading comfortably. They thought they needed to mess and feck about in the last 15 to see out the game when they could have held their head and finished the game strongly. Young team but sometimes the tone is set but the elders on the team and Cavanagh can set a bad example at times.

Quotethe fact Michael Murphy is the size he is means he doesn't get the decisions he's supposed to. Maybe if he dived around the place like Cavanagh he might get the frees he deserves but he doesn't... ah well!

Was it twice in the first half that a long ball was played into Murphy and McMahon and Murphy threw the head and hands back and fell to the ground when the ball broke loose, looking for the free. Just because it isn't a Tyrone player doing it, doesn't mean he isn't trying to buy one.

No need to be nervous J70. Not a formality for Donegal but a good tight season opener for you but you hold all the cards. Home patch, wet day, one of the best players in Ireland (Murphy) a referee that will suit the smarter players on the Donegal side. A 3-4 point hammering for Tyrone on the cards.
