Cruppen beat Mullaghbawn by 4 points, big game now for us on fri night against Clans, 4 pointer!

brutal match, half time was 1 -1 to 4 points. final score 10 points to 1-3. mullaghban had 12 or 13 men behind the ball. they are very difficult to play against and even worse to watch.

Decent game against cross last night between what were two very depleted teams. dromintee don't normally compete that well when down in numbers so that was encouraging. i think cross were missing paul kernan, aaron kernan, steven kernan, john murtagh, paul mckeown, jamie clarke and david McKenna - the last three came on in the second half. dromintee were missing martin o'rourke, aidan o'rourke, shane o'neill, oliver gaughran, shane carroll, miceal o'rourke and gareth o'neill - the last two are gone to the states and i'm assuming won't be back.

how come these boys weren't playin? (other than the two thats went to america)

o'neills is far too expensive, no discounts offered worth talking about and what they do is they sell clubs the old stock and wont release the new style gear til next year even though county teams have it already. Our club has went to Puma for our new gear. Much much cheaper and embroider names, crests, sponsers etc for alot less.

Now with Armagh out when is the championship due to be started?  At least there wil be no issue of it running late like it has done in previous years.

championship is on 14th, 15th and 16th of august, then 5th,6th, 12th and 13th or September, semis are 25th and 26th and final 3 weeks after that.

so cross have now won the league. who had dromintee missing corn? is it true that two players are going stateside?

was an article in irish news not so long ago about this. He is at wasps for a year at least and then will see how it pans out.

Armagh have the players to contend for major honours.  I am absolutely convinced of that.  I think Armagh's problems currently are down to decisions made on the line. 

PMcD promised much needed change, he hasn't delivered.

yea totally agree. to be honest when he was appointed i thought he would be the man for the job based on the u21 success he had achieved. but he hasnt delivered at all. though apparently its certain players pulling the strings and not him which actually makes a lot of sense looking at the game yesterday and the team selection.

this is bull. the problem isnt transition etc. every armagh fan realises this and could see that an all ireland or even an uslter for that matter would likely be out of armagh's reach this year and possibly next year. the problem is that totally inept performance that was put on show on saturday evening. there was no hunger, desire or will to win as a group. a few players did try but a few just seemed to not care.

Armagh at the minute seem to be carrying a few players. If a team is in transition it should be about building towards a time where it may challenge at the top table again for honours. To produce a line out like that on saturday evening and a performance like that is not building for the future, its nothing short of abysmal.

cant see that happening yet. mcgeeney would be a wiser man to continue with kildare over the next while. think in 3 to 4 years would be his time.
