Being reported that NI Executive to allow spectators at outdoor venues before the this weekend
It is being allowed from Friday. They do not appear to have specified any limit.
Should clubs limit Numbers to 200 to align with the Republic?

Gaa have come up with own guidance. 250-400 Max depending on type of ground.

To me letting 30 players into an indoor environment close together is much more serious offence than allowing people to socially distance around a large ground in the open air. It's obvious and all evidence would tell you the risk of spreading covid in close proximity indoors is much much higher than socially distanced outside. The spectators one doesn't make much sense when compared to other things being allowed whereas the dressing room one is a no brainer. And we have a situation were spectators are allowed in the south and health experts have deemed it ok.

Have seen the proposals. Genuine question but how can they expect promotion and relegation to work and clubs be OK with it? For example to 2 proposals that suggest groups. Will these groups be seeded? Says on the proposal drawn from a hat, how in any way is that fair. For example in division 2 there are a few big hitters let's say the 5 or 6 big teams are drawn in the same section and then say 2 mid table teams are added. How is it fair that they've to compete against the big 6 and face relegation for coming bottom of the group while the other section is a lot weaker? Sqme argument applies to promotion. Surely either groups have to be seeded or no relegation or promotion

Any chance of a summary of them?

In one week at end of April with lockdown in full swing? If anything the graphs up show the benefit of it kicking in. In the last two months deaths are well over 50,000 higher than normal. Given people haven't been out and less accidents that's a big number.

Even if they aren't all covid most of them are caused by the governments handling of it and initial slow response and open borders allowing disease to spread and keeping people from going to hospital.

And now the average deaths in the uk this past 5 years have been officially released and the deaths this past 3 weeks is actually lower than the average 5 year toll
Can anyone explain this? Probably because nobody is going out? Amazing
As Trump would say. It's time to open up

Anything I've seen says deaths 50-60k higher in UK over last number of weeks than is normal for time of year. And that was with lockdown in place.

Not sure what the above is referring to. Is it for full years? Due to mild winters and other factors there was lower death rate this winter I think. If everyone went to work and ignored this virus there's no knowing how high deaths would be.

No he wasn't. He is this year though. Not many ex county men managing there own club, most away getting paid elsewhere. Even fewer doing player manager.

Cavanagh loves the sound of his own voice. A great player, easily top 5 of the best Tyrone have produced but I'd have a big problem with his conduct and action in his media roles since retiring.

I thought it was extremely petty the pot shots he was having at Harte a few months after he hung up the boots. Harte was still over the team and the only purpose of those comments were to undermine the manager.

Even his own clubman and ex teammate called Cavanagh out on it.

Sean Cavanagh will always look out for the interests of Sean Cavanagh.
I find it very hard to warm to him.

Moy should have washed their hands of him when he went to RTE instead of taking their Senior Team on an occasion when they couldn't get a game shifted last year.

The whole didn't know the song Black and Tans was a nonsense from him at one stage there too, the brother on the bus too. No comment would be a good one for Sean.

You could go on. Whats the point. He's been seen for what he is now anyway.

That first bit is a really really stupid argument. How many 36 year old club footballers is there in the county? Very few because most have retired due to work and family commitments. So you want the moy to get rid of one still playing (and one of top scorers in county last year) because he missed one league game to fulfil a contract probably worth thousands of pounds over the season (and lot more long term)? Do you really think that would be wise? And do you think clubs should wash their hands of other men who retire due to work commitments?

I do think he put his point across wrongly on that podcast and I personally wouldn't have said it but his point was hundred per cent correct. Whether we like it or not we have different laws to the south.

Personally I don't think anyone here has crossed a line. If someone shites in a sink they deserve all they get. When they do it in a Tyrone capacity people here have every right to he annoyed.

Whether it's appropriate to say (if true) is another thing but the problem on here is a lot of it is based on rumour and may not even be true. And given users are anonymous this forum can be used to spread stuff about someone you have a grudge against.

McShane back out training tonight, wonder will Harte throw him straight back in against Kerry!!

so is he staying for good?

Heard today that Harte met with him last week alongside 2 Club Tyrone sponsors, apparently got a big job offered to him in Keystone, a site to build on and some cash!!
I still think he'd be mad to accept it and miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime but we'll know soon enuf

History repeating its self...lol...not the first to be offered all that!!!

Enlighten us please as to who else ?

Believe Sean Cavanagh was offered and probably accepted, depending on what you want to believe "an incentive" to stay.

That wouldn't surprise me. Sure he'd go to The Sunday Game rather than line out for his club.

How many of the 03 team are still lining out for their clubs? Most haven't got the time or commitment at this stage of their lives for various reasons including work. If he misses one or two league games a year because of work commitments is it really that big a deal? I'm sure many average club players miss the odd game due to work and never a word about it.

Over 55 per cent of voters didn't vote for unionist parties (counting alliance as neutral). That's a serious turnaround.

Good result for Nationalists seat wise due to the Brit 1st past the post system but still behind on votes (36% to 41%).

Think the two main unionist parties got 42.3% to 38.9% for Sinn Fein SDLP and aontu. The bigger thing is well over 50 per cent of people didn't vote for unionist parties. The traditional dominance is well gone.

Bizarre timing and for Rodgers to leave in the middle of a season when 8 points clear with 11 games to play is simply astounding. If it was for a team capable of challenging for the English PL it might be understandable but he has clearly gone for the cash since Leicester will never be much more than a top half EPL club.

Lennon is the obvious choice to fill the gap at least temporarily.

Really?

On here is the only place I have saw the 15th mentioned. Everywhere else says Tyrone play Fermanagh on Sunday 16th December. Haven't saw an official fixture yet or mention of a venue. You'd think if it's a home game for Tyrone they would have a bit of sense and not play it in Omagh.

I thought Derry are hosting Tyrone on Sunday 16th Dec

A few papers had said Fermanagh but you are correct. Derry v Tyrone in Owenbeg at 1 on Sunday 16th.

Anyone recommend any nice eating houses not too far off the M1 from the north towards Dublin airport?

Normally stop off in Fitzpatricks if we were heading down that way but we stopped off there a couple of weeks ago so would rather try somewhere else. Maybe the Carrickdale but have ate there before a load of times before as well. Somewhere like that anyway (preferably south of the border so we don't have much of a drive afterwards) not too far off the motorway.

Monasterboice Inn is usually decent. Expensive enough but good portions.
