As if both teams wanted the game in Croke park for ticket needs. Galway not take too many up the road for a dead duck.

Both mgts wanted to get a run out on Croke Park, both rejected bigger capacity grounds with that in mind.

Has it sold out yet?  ;D ;D

I'm sure Louther and the Derry wan will be monitoring the attendance closely

;D :D From a quick look at twitter. There is 27,000 ticket requests already from Armagh. Should be moved to Wembley.  ;)

Watching with someone who has no interest.
She cannot believhow poor officials are.

Reassure her that the officials are far from the worst thing on display here.

This is putrid. And I've watched Louth enough to know what putrid is.

Rian O'Neill must have the offer from the states and looking to get the early flight.

Tyrone by 2. Rest and prep will stand to them and the sending off and black card V Galway spoiled that game.

Why anybody is replying to bellends about justifying support I'll never know.

Or justifying lack of support.

Was weeks of the best supporters in Ireland and only for us etc etc. just hit air. GAA supporters love a bandwagon. That's what brings them out. Every county the same. It's the hot air and entitlement with excuses that is laughable. Just say you aren't arsed going FFS.
Ur very worried for a man from a county without a ground.

We have (and have had for year) a very good centre of excellence for our county teams. Where is Armaghs? The sod is turned on our county ground. It's all good 👍

I'm probably banging on but the crying over Ulster final tickets and the demand it be moved to Croke Park was annoying.

Tickets widely available online for this, including seated stand tickets now. Big game against Ulster rivals, one of them at home, short commute for others. And not close to a sell out.

I'd assumed Armagh would fill this on their own. It's not even giving rain this weekend.

I have seen Derry being penalised this year  because the derry player entered the D to pick up the ball . It resultrd in a throw up.
I believe this is the correct interpretation of the rule.

if its a derry kick out, then yes.
The ball must travel 13metres before being touched by a player on the same team.

It doesn't have to travel 13 metres before being touched by an opponent, as long as the opponent was more than 13 metres away (i.e. outside the D for a kickout) when the ball was kicked.

This is the rule as per the current rule book.

QuoteIf the goalkeeper is not taking the kick-out, he shall stay in the small rectangle, and all other players, except the player taking the kick-out, shall be outside the 20m line, outside the semicircular arc and 13m from the ball until it has been kicked.

The ball shall travel not less than 13m and outside the 20m line before being played by another player of the defending team.

So an attacking player may run into the D and intercept theball while the defender must not attempt to prevent that happening.
I don't think so.
The ball has to  travel outside the D before anyone can touch it

David Cough must be wrong then  ::)

It makes sense once the opponent is 13m prior to kick. What would happen if the keeper miskicked it and it travels inside the D and stops? Of course the attacker can play ball and defender can't, otherwise the play would freeze or the keeper would get off with it. Same as if a free taker kicks a free short, once the opponent the distance away before the free taken, he can then move after the ball is struck.

He be better at rugby than boxing. And a judge called it a draw 😂😂

Why wasn't this game sold out? Wasn't wet? Best supporters ever and so many left at home for Ulster final. Should have been wedged.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

That's possibly a reason. People slept in.

Put a keeper off in sin bin lately. The opposition where giving off that the player who went into nets had to be wearing a keepers top!! This based on Tyrone game on TV the week before..

I explained that they didn't have to wear a keepers top, wearing the keepers top only gives the 'keeper' the rights of a keeper, nothing else. these people giving off are senior div 1 managers

Our seniors were playing 2 different lads in nets at different stages, neither were keepers. One made a run out and the other hung back in one game, possession lost and the one with the outfield jersey on that day tried to take the kick out but the ref didn't allow him to kick it because the other man had the keepers jersey on at half forward. Do you agree with that one?
I can see the keeper jersey going soon if the game keeps going like it is now, no advantage in it. If you like saving shots you may go to the soccer.

Is the main "right" the keepers jersey give is to touch ball on ground in small square? Kickouts not an issue, anyone can take. I did see a game where an out field player took the kick out, ran on and received the ball back from the receiver. Ref blew for it, rightly, and the teams manager went mad shouting "he isn't the keeper" but ref said he took kick and can't receive it back, but the keeper could have as he didn't take kick.

Also the keeper can't be shouldered/charged in the small square, all other players can be.

The rule about the kickout only says keeper so in this case the ref was wrong. Yet another terribly drafted rule in the rule-book.

QuoteA player in direct receipt of a kick-out may not pass the ball to his team's goalkeeper without another player playing the ball.
Ref was wrong, only if the actual keeper had been standing in the goal line when the kick out was taken.

That's interesting, never considered that. Looking back it was possible the keeper wasn't in his small square when it happened. See a lot of that in juvenile matches where outfield player ends up taking kick out but never paid much attention to keepers position. This was the first time I'd seen the non GK kicker take ball back off receiver and assumed that's why he threw it up.

Cheers lads.
