Fair play to B/A  the better team by far.  C/E carrying a few platers and had very few options off the bench. Apparently lost 5 startets from the corresponding minor winning team. The only worry for B/A is that they have a good few players who hurl senior and that might split the resources a bit especially with Abbeyleix putting a big effort on the first year back up. Serious money committed to Ballyroan to win a senior championship I hear.

I was down in carlow earlier so called in for a look at the Courtwood/Emo v Graigue match. Super match with C/E just eaging it despite being a point down with less than 5mins to play. County Board have a lot to answer for asking lads to play two championship matches in 4 days on heavy pitches  I heard that up to 6 lads had to travel from college twice this week to play despite the other semifinal not being on till next week.  Its going to turn lads off football. Sean Greene standout player for me. Certainly County material

Why are they being made play a semi on Thursday after only playing tonight. I'd imagine the pitches are very heavy now and lads are being slaughtered when the other semi isnt on till next wèek.  I think Hosey dod his cruciate with laois u20s earlier in the year so must be still out

Port were beating crokes comfortably last year till crokes realised that osbourne couldn't kick long due to a hamstring injury and pushed up agressivley on kickouts. If they do that this time then port have the option of kicking over the press and if crokes get caught behind the ball then port have the pace to really punish them. Port will give it a good rattle and i think will come out on top by a couple of piints

Wow demanding an apology for an opinion expressed in 2020 which was valid enough at the time. Best thing to do is just leave it so cos I'm sure if you looked hard enough then everyone of us have said stuff here that proved to be wrong

They won the minor B as St Pauls and I think they had about 15 or 16 on that panel. Not too sure how many are eligible next year but their next few years look positive enough. Not sure if they have a new man in mind but its an important one for them

From talking to people over there it seems that soccer is a huge draw for lads with the pitch right in the middle of the town whereas the Gaa is out a bit. The Rock also pull a fair few from town too so when you consider that Portlaoise dont have two clubs then I suppose its understandable that they might struggle a bit

The chap in question is well able to dish it out too so maybe karma does exist. Its the was the game is gone unfortunately.  I saw it at minor last week so ye may be prepared to see more.  In fairness I saw Seamus Mulhare deal with it at the semis by giving a red to a fella for the reaction but gave a black to the lad yelling in his face. Both off for the remainder of the match

Can only see one winner here after seeing the two semifinals. Port survived a massive Portlaoise test both physical and mental and O Ds had an easier semi v Courtwood who to be fair performed well below their standards. However for a while after halftime they looked vulnerable when courtwood went at them. Dessie Cooney did the Port semi and if he refs the final the same them I see Port physically overwhelming  O Ds. It wouldnt surprise me to see Port win by 8-10 points but i really hope I'm wrong

A huge amount depends on the who refs it I feel. If its someone like Mulhare who blows for every little thing then   O Ds have a huge chance. The second match last Sunday was reffed completely differently with killings almost let go and if that level of physicality is allowed then I think Port will win comfortably

Good man put the boot in straight away. I'm not from Courtwood by the way but your comment is classless. Courtwood actually had a good championship but didn't seem to perform today for some reason. Well done to the Heath but they were taking part in the intermediate championship for a reason.  Port and Portlaoise have several players who are of Co standard Courtwood and O Ds to a lesser degree but still a few there

Could be rubbish but I heard that Dan shanahan is definitely on board.  Came from a good source in Waterford who also said that he's very shrewd on the line and very well regarded down there

The two doyles and kelly both played junior as far as i know bit dont seem to feature on their panel. Kinsella is a 4 point player even on a bad day so is a massive loss
