Can't believe that Donie would go down this route when whats required is our top players standing up ,shoulder to the wheel ,showing the potential new kids top commitment

Bad start and bit of a let down

I travelled in to take a quick look but had to go as the ball was being thrown in to be honest

Seemed good numbers 27-28guys,very active warm up Stack doing the shouting mostly and trialists looking fairly fit

Don't envy Sugrues task after those semi finals, not a huge amount of intercounty talent on view

Graigue showed far to much respect to the town at the outset which surprised me...not enough threat up forward

Ballylinan v Portlaoise to me is not the foregone conclusion just yet...Ballylinan very strong down the middle

Looking forward to the semi finals
Portlaoise Ballylinan to reach final after competitive games I hope

Thought Trevor Collins did well against St Joes maybe Forbes could cause some problems

Arles, Joseph's, Portlaoise, Killeen and Killeshin for me.
Port decimated with injuries - would have gone for them to beat Killeen but for that.

Who are injured for Port?

If we're talking about getting a wider spread of players, you'd have to wonder why Portlaoise are not able to produce a single player capable of getting on the u-14 hurling squad???

Mountrath has one player on it. That club has also seriously underperformed when it comes to supplying inter-county players.
Correct Gio

strike rate not good enough for the town

Aye, why dont you two boys absolutely kick the shite out of a young fella who has been dogged with injuries for the past 2 years. Sickening f**ks.

Kick the shite out of who? DD

Its FACT
Too many guys on that Laois team have a bloated opinion of there ability that's why we are in Division 4

The most important question we need to be asking in my view is not who the next senior manager will be, but what group of people will take responsibility for underage development and player pathways in Laois, and how will the county board resource them. Personally I think this needs to be a mix of former stars who are respected (Clancy, Tom Kelly, Beano, Joe Higgins etc) and a few outsiders that have overseen developmental progress in other counties. Perhaps someone from Tyrone or Dublin for example.

In complete agreement....this is imperative and a huge part of the strategic committee review

Rid itself of the B championship!

Players want to PLAY

They go to A in all grades loads of lads sitting on the sideline .....all of a sudden they don't turn up....by minor there is only 5-6 players playing A grade

System is completely wrong
Concentrate on upskilling coaches and increase numbers playing...the best will always go to development squads(daddy will bring them)

Would anybody take a look at Michael Murphy managing Stradbally

Seems to organise and maximise any team that he has  managed, intelligent

I would certain listen to his view in an interview scenario
