Down always have hope,  yes Donegal are a better side than us but we can beat them. If things click we are hard to stop,  the big issue is can we win enough possession,  let's hope so.  Good luck to the team tomorrow.

All adults to be vaccinated in the North by end of May.  Sports possibly back at end of March, will we be allowed to start before the 26 though.  Who knows

With the new age groups a lot of the minor team wont be playing McCrory.  Remember too most east down players go to schools that are not as football specific as those in Newry

With the vaccinations in the North massively outstripping the south we could well be allowed back long before them,  but would the GAA allow it or will they go with an all Ireland approach.

If Tally is out for 12 weeks surely we need a new manager,  he can't attend training and it only starts when we go back.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Down / Re: What to do about Belfast
December 28, 2020, 11:14:20 PM
A few points,  Carryduff and Bredagh know exactly the population in their area and are currently the 2 biggest GAA clubs, membership wise,  in the North.  Both are and St Paul's are involved in Gaelfast and I assume E Belfast  will become involved as they introduce juvenile teams.  Down have for years ignored us but the growing population is brilliant for us and the county. Both St.  Paul's and E.  Belfast have the potential to be were Carryduff and Bredagh are now in 20 years.  The potential for more clubs up here is strong too but they will come out of need not just be invented, it will be a long time before one is set up between Carryduff and and Bredagh for instance.
There are still parents who bring their kids to play in Antrim even though they live in Down and that isn't going to change, same as kids live and play in different counties in and around Newry.

Clubs don't close down due to Covid.  The PHA make the call on what is deemed a close and a casual contact. Individuals are isolated rather than whole clubs.

The club made that decision but the club was not forced to close Down.

Castlewellan definitely did recently.....
