Tight at both ends of the Division 2 table. Very hard to call games in that league, should make for an interesting championship.

Derrylaughan with two difficult ties away to Augher and away to an improving Stewartstown team.
Aghyaran with a tricky starred game away to Eskra and then home to Loughmacrory.
Eglish away to Cookstown and home to Aghaloo.
Dungannon home to Loughmacrory and away to Eskra.
A couple of twists to come yet no doubt.

At the other end.
Kildress and Cookstown still to play each other, winner of that should be guaranteed intermediate football for another year.
Rock and Castlederg still to play each other as well. Winner of that game could sneak out of the relegation zone
Eskra's best chance of a win would be their home game against Aghyaran (who are without their two county men) in the next round, failing to win that you would have to expect them to make the automatic drop to Junior football.

Good man Healy Hellraiser. Omagh are one to talk about a club being ashamed of themselves after the way your club handled an U14 fixture a month or so ago
The fact are these
Donal McCrossan the referee is an absolute disgrace. He frustrated both sets of players and supporters all night.
Secondly, a Dromore lad carrying a water bottle, who wasnt the lineman, and turns out was an injured player, struck a Carrickmore player on the field of play two yards from the sideline and a melee started . A prominent member of our club who was leaning against the fence, along with a few other officials inside the field, all wearing black club bodywarmers, intervened with Dromore officials to separate the melee.
I have heard various stories this morning all of which are untrue, ranging from there was a mass brawl, which there wasnt, to the referee was hit, which he wasnt, to Dromore wanted the game abandoned, which they didn't as there was only 2 scores in it with 5 minute left.
There are to many people not playing on the field of play at the minute, including linesmen who stand 5 yards inside the line. Get everyone out apart from the players and managers. If a club wants to provide waterboys make sure they are u14s who will not try and influence the officials or worse again the opposing players. Every club is responsible for this, and injured players should be outside the wire. Last year we tried to implement it in our own club but managers want to keep them involved in some way.

Agree totally with this Roddy and said the same thing at our own game on Sunday. Far to many people on the pitch.
Managers shouldn't be allowed on the pitch full stop. If a player isn't togged out, he shouldn't be on the pitch.
The only people that should be allowed to enter the field of play other than the 15 players is a medic/physio.

It would reduce the amount of melees and 'incidents' drastically.

Cookstown would be absolutely devastated if this was to be enforced. Never did I see worse than Cookstown for this sort of thing. The whole town is basically on the pitch when you play down there. Its quite impressive really when you think about it.

First played in Cookstown in the 70's has not changed one bit on that front.... When at home they will push their weight about away from home cowards....Good youth team they have 7 managers and 5 ill mannered ass holes carrying water.....poor youth team 2 men on their own....

Couldn't agree more. Worse club we've ever had visit our grounds. The last time their men landed to play us they were kicking footballs up and down the corridor of the club house once they landed and had to be asked to stop numerous times.
Then had their full senior team on the line for the first half of the reserve game followed by the reserve team, senior subs and about 7 "managers" along the line during the senior game who spent a good majority of the game inside the white lines roaring at the referee.
Started a fight on the way into the changing rooms at half time and to top it all off started throwing food at each other inside the clubhouse afterwards.
I can only hope that their decline continues and they end up in junior sometime soon.

Cookstown followers appear to have adopted the verbals and cowardly behaviour of their on field representatives. When will this cesspit be sorted once and for all?

I don't know the story between Cookstown/ Moortown and what happened on the day but there can't be many clubs in the county that don't have a hatred for Cookstown and their antics on and off the field. There is little or no morals within this club.

You sound surprised!!! Their supporters have always been the worst vile bunch for years, right from underage up to the seniors

Couldn't agree more. The worst bunch of c***s I've ever come up against. Manners are easily carried, unfortunately it looks like the Fr Rocks club don't teach any!

Anybody from the St Enda's club able to give an update on the pitch?

Would be very surprised to see it go ahead tomorrow night in Healy if the amount of rain that is forecast falls tonight.
Would be nice if the county board could release some information on it instead of leaving supporters from both counties in the dark.

I don't know what was worse today.
Tyrone's performance or the clueless referee trying to apply the new mark rule.

What about castlederg do they not have a game in hand to replay which was called off?

This game in hand was the Clann na Gael game, which was abandoned in the final minutes of the match with Castlederg losing by a few points. County Board declared it null and void, Castlederg appealed it to the Ulster Council. Think they have also taken this appeal to Croke Park to get it replayed. Croke Park would be setting a dangerous precedent if this appeal was to be successful-surely would mean that any team losing by a couple of points in injury time could start a row in an attempt to get a game abandoned-knowing that it will be replayed??
Has there never been a game in Tyrone abandoned due to a row before? What happened previously? Obviously we are going to need a final decision this week.

Clogher and Brocagh play in the last league game to see who gets into the playoffs
.

A draw would bring Drumragh into a three way tie assuming they win their last game? How would that be sorted?

Score difference to separate them. Provided there were no conceded fixtures involving any of the three.

Division 2 & 3 league games now brought forward to Saturday afternoon from Sunday due to SFC final replay.

Watched the game on TV yesterday, a good solid enough game. Coalisland made notes that Killyclogher's full back line is their weak spot but didn't push them enough on this I thought. Too close to call, hope to be there at the replay.

Big weekend for Tattyreagh then. Can they bounce back from their Championship Final loss to secure the League title or will Owen Roes stop them in their tracks?

I know this has been mentioned before a while back but some questions need to be asked of the county board regarding reserve football. I just looked over the fixtures on tyronegaa.com.Div 1 reserves havent played since the end of august and before that only had a handful of fixtures due to holidays etc and out of the last 20 games played 10 were conceded. No reserve championship played yet. There has to be some major changes made if they want the reserve leagues to survive. Im only talking about div1 here too, god knows what shape the intermediate and junior leagues are in.

I said it a few pages back, it is time to simply scrap reserve football in Tyrone and forget about it. Just play a senior league, D1, D2 and D3. Nobody cares about it at a board level, and players at nearly all clubs lose interest after a while.  A lot of clubs seem to struggle to field a reserve team with a lot of games forfeited as the season goes in all divisions even D1.  Reserve football is dead in Tyrone.  Time to bury it.

What happens to the clubs that have enough players to field every week?? do they just join Division 3 of the ACL?  Scrapping it would be harsh, they could try changing it slightly. They should play ALL reserve games during the week or on a friday for a start. Thats a total no brainer!
Its certainly worth a try.
One thing we  cant do is continue the way it is.

Reserve footballers have always been treated badly in Tyrone, as Kev said there's no money in it for the County Board. We have been fortunate this past few years in Clonoe to always have had large numbers and very good reserve teams. Our reserve success has been a catalyst for our senior success and the majority of our current senior team would have reserve championship medals. If something new isn't tried a lot of players will drop of after u21 (which is also a shambles). These guys deserve to be treated every bit as well as their senior counterparts, they do the same training and give up the same amount of their own time to their clubs.

The only way to save reserve football is to play it as stand alone leagues which has promotion and relegation.
So far there has been:
20 games conceded in Reserve Division 1
16 games conceded in Reserve Division 2
42 games conceded in Reserve Division 3
- Making each division more competitive by introducing promotion and relegation would go a long way to helping the reserve league. Teams will think twice about conceding reserve fixtures if there is a possibility of relegation.
- Player will have move pride in playing reserve football if it is made more competitive.

Other steps to help with the reserve football would be:
- Games to go ahead on weekends that have county games (there is no reason that reserve football could not be played on the Friday night when the county are playing on the Sunday)
- Reserve league football to go ahead during club championship weeks (it could easily be played as mid week fixtures during the summer)
- An early championship in reserve football. Currently the rule states that you cannot play reserve championship if you have played championship football for your clubs senior team in the same year. A slight tweak to the rule could fix this, you cannot play reserve championship football if you have played championship football for your current/previous clubs senior team in the year prior.

Or we could just keep ignoring the problem and let reserve football die out altogether.
