Great performance from Tipp , 4 points up after 4 minutes then the Cork  ::) Ref gave frees out of sympathy to the Waterford lads , their own supporters were embarrassed ! The 3 Thurles lads were superb along with Gooch Shanahan of Roscrea and Kyle Shelly .

Very competitive division as usual, this year on paper looks a fair bit tougher than last years divison.

Donegal look to be the best team and would expect to go straight back up but i would imagine mcbrearty wont be back for the league? and if gweedore win ulster they will be missing some very important players off that aswell. Kildare rightly 2nd favorites for me, even excluding last years mayo game kildare werent far away at all, in division 1 they lost all their games but they were very competitive and werent far away at all which is saying alot given the jump in standard of division 2 to 1. Daniel flynn being away is going to be a huge loss for them. Cork, Tipp, Meath, Armagh, Clare and Fermanagh you can expect anything from any of these teams. Clare probably have the toughest fixture schedule, meath after last year are an interesting one to be 4th favourites.

On Tipp, if we really try give a go at promotion i think we could be there or thereabouts. Fixturewise its the best we could hope for, avoided long trips to donegal and fermanagh and have 4 home games. We havent had any major losses to the panel and have added 4/5 players who i think can make a positive impact on the panel and push for starting positions. As important as anything is the players we retained, john meagher everyone thought was a shoe in for the hurlers but he opted to stick with the footballers for 2019 and philly austin giving it another year is a big plus. I cant wait for the league to roll around, we really should have been promoted last year but in the end didnt deserve to be because we failed to see out games from a winning position, im hoping lessons from that have been learned along with some other glaring mistakes we made last year.

Too many games last year we fell away with 10-15 minutes to go , fitness had to an issue ! New Strength and Conditioning Coach this year who will hopefully address this . Nothing between Cork , Meath , Armagh and Tipp in the betting and I think that is fair enough , it`s going to be a fair battle for promotion , good point about Donegal and the Gweedore players they might not get it as comfortable as they would like without them !

All the Huns can say is wait till the next one, been saying that for the last 2 years and we all know what happens, I hope dumb slippy g realises that his team really are dirt and they should have been hammered 4/5, Rodgers is still the master and he dealt with the Dembele departure in the correct way, just hope he gets to use some of that transfer fee to strengthen the team in January

He will , Right full back badly needed . Has to be thinking Midfield as I reckon he will stay until the Summer but big bucks will be offered for Ntcham and he will go then .

As easy as any victory against them last year. They really aren't much better.

Skin of their teeth. Rangers had a couple of good chances to snatch a draw.

:D  :D  :D . . . . .

Wise up, was a 1-0 hammering

Absolutely ! Was on the cards after Sevco played Motherwell last week , last 20 minutes of that game Motherwell mauled them ! Sevco are useless ! They are physical and try to bully Teams is all they have to offer .

Any of the hurlers join up with the panel?

Speaking to a lad in the know lately and he tells me if Tipp get over Mayo there is the chance that at least 2 individuals will be called in !

Parking out the Nenagh Road is fine. There are numerous little €5 car parks in fields, but you'll see a pile of people on both sides of the road all the way up from Thurles Crokes AC (which is a big car park itself) all the way out to the Newport/Borrisileigh junction on the Nenagh road.

A right Hoor of a place to get out of after a game !

Some handy Footballers on that Tipp Panel , wonder if Kearns would consider calling them up to the Football Squad ? Seamus Kennedy would be a starter any day if he joined up !

They said on the radio tipp were very bad, anything to do with the one week turn around?

They hardly extended themselves against Waterford too much last week. Probably just a bad day at the office. It happens.
The real issue with Kearns complaints wasn't the 6 day turnaround, it was that an extra week would have meant two important players would have been that bit fitter.
The Waterford game was grand preparation, a chance to fine tune things before the real stuff. Cork would have been playing an A v B game at around the same time. But perhaps it got into the Tipp lads' heads, or maybe as you say it was simply a bad day at the office.

I was at the Waterford game and despite scoring 20 Points something in the Tipp play seemed off , a lack of cohesion I suppose . Plenty of work for Tipp to do in the next month but they are decent Players and I expect us to rally !
