Two posters on here from Ros have PM'd me to ask me to take the post down as it is incorrect. That is fine, if it is incorrect I will take it down. One thing I would like clarified though is were the Gardai called to a function organised by Roscommon GAA in Boyle and did the meeting (or whatever it was) get disbanded as a result.

This from the Roscommon Herald (not from me or someone on twitter)...

https://roscommonherald.ie/2020/10/10/gardai-investigate-gathering/#.X4M2m8JKjAU

Gardaí have confirmed to the Roscommon Herald that they attended at a premises in Boyle this afternoon, Saturday, October 10th  at approximately 4.30 p.m. following reports of potential breaches of current Covid-19 regulations. Following engagement with Gardaí  a group of people gathered in the premises agreed to leave. "An investigation focused on the organisers of the event is currently underway,"  the Roscommon Herald has been informed.

According to a statement from Gardai: "In respect of regulations which are declared to be Penal Regulations under the Health Act 1947 as amended, An Garda Síochána adopts the approach of the Four Es which sees Gardaí engage, educate, encourage, and as a last resort, enforce.  Where Gardaí find potential breaches of the public health regulations a file is prepared for the DPP in each case.

"While An Garda Síochána will seek to encourage people to maintain the necessary public health measures, it will intervene where there is non-compliance with public health regulations," the statement concluded.

Yes cops attended and no its didnt get disbanded as a resukt

Non story no rules or guidelines broken. Everything that took place met the specific rules around elite sports teams

That's all I know. I didn't actually hear which player it was but was informed it was an Ulster based player that came from a sports journalist.

The sports journalist who informs you clearly thinks you are an awful mug.
Wasnt me chatting to him so what he thinks of me remains to be seen. Glad it wasn't a player for one of the better counties

Any word on which player failed the drugs test and which county they are from?
Heard it was a player from an Ulster county in Divison 1
Surely a third strike for Kerry would open to some huge questions.

Looking forward to seeing the penalty replay on TV, was hard to tell from where I was in the stand, other than to say I've no time for Cassidy from Derry .... far too whistle happy for my liking.

Armagh were superb going forward in first half, defence shockingly bad in second.  Soupy seems to be the only forward we have capable of running at a defence.  Watched him limp off after the game, seemed to be in bother.

You'll see nothing on that joke of a program.

Looks like their division 2 coverage is finished

Getting worse every year. Yet people moan about Sky?

Turned it off as soon as I saw pundits.

Where are sky since last August?

Open to correction by it was my understanding SKY dont have any rights to the League.

jamie played football there last summer.
simply hasnt transferred back and is training with the county
there is no backer..

So he isn't in London, hasn't transferred back to Cross and is playing for county? Something about that doesn't sit right with me. Not affiliated to a club but playing for county. It's just another example of the professionalism that we've seen so clearly with McShane. Is he working at home again?

Wasnt the movie star playing football with Athy and county with Tyrone before he retired? Same thing as Clarke playing his club football outside of Armagh. Mooney and another down footballer are also playing with same club as Clarke.

No team not even Dublin could sustain our losses.

I counted eight championship starters Roscommon were missing last weekend and I presume it will be the same for this trip to Fermanagh.

O'Malley
Mullooly
Hussey
Ronan Daly
Devanney
Harney
Murtagh
Cox

All missing who were starters when available last year.  Add in McInerney,McManus,Ciaran Murtagh and Fintan Cregg its a very weakened panel at the moment.

That should be the only aim now given what we are missing.

it must say something for the state of the Irish army and wages if they are drug dealing or they are just scumbags in the army too.

Probably more at it now due to wages but was always the way around Athlone anyway. I honestly could name have a dozen and thats not counting lads already turfed out for been caught at it. But i have often read up on Dublin gangland and lads charged with serious crimes that are ex soliders is regular enough.

https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/soldier-arrested-after-cocaine-and-steroids-found-in-city-barracks-37320139.html

Personally i wouldnt be sending these lads out on our streets with guns as another poster suggested. Majority of soliders are 100% but few bad apples in the mix.

The army should be sent into deal with these feckers

Couldnt disagree more the Army is full of drug dealers, Most of the dealers in Athlone are current soliders and even a few weeks ago a serving solider was questioned over a Gangland murder in Dublin.

Just checked there, Mayo are 18/1 to win Sam.

Must be the highest odds since 2012?

Dublin are 8/11!

I would put them as 3rd favorite at 5s or 6s, personally.

I would have them as third favourites for Connaght too

I hope the senior players give him a bit of respect. And I hope he fcuks out anyone who doesn't.

There was talk when he was captain he was very strict so could be good. His press conference was very impressive.

Like what I see already.

Yeah said after watching game against Chelsea Arteta would be good. Excellent last night.

What about the McGuinness fella? I assume he is 6 foot under at this stage but where was he buried. Heard nothing about it at all.

Gone up in smoke...

Cremated? Where? When?
