All ACFL (promotion) games called off this weekend. So sounds like we are either Mentally of Physically brusied

An absolute joke that this is happening. Our game was down for Sunday, changed to Saturday, changed to Friday and now postponed because of the wishes of the county players.

GAA Discussion / Re: Armagh v Cavan Sun 8th June

Very little talk on the actual game itself apart on here! The shenanigans pre parade did not benefit Cavan one bit. Everybody involved both directly and indirectly need to take a look at themselves, both sets of players, the band cocking up with the flags, and the Ulster Council suits being totally clueless as to what was happening. Martin Dunne was always starting, the questions marks were over Rory Dunne, not Martin, pre game as he sustained a foot injury a few weeks ago. As the teams were lining up for the anthem, Martin Dunne signalled to the bench that he was unable to start and Cavan sought permission from Martin Duffy to replace him with Jack. Any suggestions that he was targeted during the parade by Armagh are total bullshit. Brendan Donaghy received treatment right in front of the stand for about ten seconds, he didn't get stitches.
From a Cavan perspective we were as bad as we have been in a long time. Our inability to nullify Dyas throughout the game ultimately cost us. He was the outlet for every ball Armagh kicked out of defence and won it in front time and time again and was excellent when in possession too. Thought Jason did well on Jamie Clarke who was summed up for me in the space of about two minutes in the first half when kicking a scorable free wide and following it up shortly after with a massive point from 50yards. Our kick out strategy was baffling. Having our keeper and Alan Clarke coming out with the ball in hand from short kickouts was not what we wanted.
As for Duffy, he in no way contributed to our defeat and isn't worth even mentioning. If any good comes out of yesterday, please let it be the end of #thefutureisblue crap.

Gearoid didn't play at the weekend, he had a scan Sunday and is out for two to three weeks with a slight groin tear.

Westside I'm not sure how you can differentiate between the performances of Keating and Dunne as strongly as you do, both had off days but the difference being Keating can win dirty ball and Dunne can't. Both players were equally as bad as each other in terms of shot selection and wides. When Keating leaves the shooting boots at home at least he will win a 50/50 ball. Some of the positions he was shooting from yesterday were crazy though. Killian Brady looked out of his depth as a midfielder...to judge him based on yesterday is wrong  as he belongs in the full back line at county level. Alan Clarke simply isn't mobile enough nor good enough on the ball to take the game to the opposition or provide adequate cover at the back. Agree re argue he has to be in midfield. The options in personnel are there for the necessary changes, better our shortcomings are flagged up now rather than June 9th.

Very disappointing performance from a Cavan perspective. Time and time again Ros broke from their half back line, creating numerous point scoring chances either side of the 45 which they invariably took. Our FF line were generally poor, particularly Dunne. Once again he struggled to win his own ball, his accuracy is his main strength and when he has an off day in that dept he offers nothing else. His decision making was shocking today. Martin Reilly was the pick of the forwards, got through a Trojan of work and rarely gave away possession. Felt we struggled at MF in the second half, Argue needs to be in there. Big improvement required but it's not the be all. Well done Ros, best team won tonight.

Lads lads. Why argue with each other when you can rise the Roscommon boys instead? I enjoyed the speech, thought he did very well and he didn't swear unlike Gearoid a few years ago.

I couldn't get over Gearoid reading those swear words off his sheet of paper.
