If he was still a county captain The GPA would have been all over it making sure he was sorted out but once you become a humble club player they dont want to know.

Delighted to see Liverpool's number 9 put 2 past Real today. You can't help but root for the guy.

https://twitter.com/Coutinhoooo97/status/555805616544174080

Whatever about the medals he may have won in Chelsea he's only ever felt at home in Madrid and Liverpool.  He would have been worth a punt I reckon if Madrid hadn't come in for him.

Agree with this - think we should have took a punt on him especially for little money outlay.

Can someone explain the following;

Ben Arfa cannot sign for Nice as he will have played for 3 clubs in 1 season (Newcastle, Hull and Nice) but Torres can do it and he played for AC, Chelsea and AM

How does this rule work or does it apply differently in each country....

Atlectico got around this getting milan to pay a fee to chelsea so he then became a milan player and madrid then signed him from milan, the rule is that you cant loan a player to 2 different clubs in the one season.

Enda Muldoon (Derry), Paddy Bradley (Derry), Ciaran McDonald (Mayo) should all be on that team. Bradley was/is better than both Brown and Forde and did it consistently year in year out.  McDonald would have a strong argument for best 15 of this millenium and Muldoon was class personified.  Michael Meehan should be in there too, had a great 5 or 6 seasons.  Why no mention of Keith Higgins, another definite starter.

Being a big derry man and fan of paddy bradley i would still have to disagree on paddy being better than declan browne,Declan was a amazing player and if born in kerry would go down as a all time great imo.

When they were worth an absolute fortune, many of those who bought houses and worked through them were ignored time and time again with a plethora of issues / complaints. You think they will gain a conscious now IF they fluke a few mil from the Ulster Bank.....2 hopes
You could be somewhat right and entitled to your opinion.
But it does not tackle that they are under pressure in their community to address the issue of men losing out on wages. I wouldn't expect back payment ( not yet and maybe not ever) but they would be seen to be trying to make amends if they went to re-hire those workmen that lost out.

No chance of those that bought houses being recompensed. Not sure how you thought I was advocating a 'brewsters millions' type of splurge !

They didn't give a fiddlers f**k for the subbies who worked for them when they making their money so where do you think this sense of loyalty is going to surface from?
Community /peer pressure that will manifest itself from within their own family members.

You obv don't understand what Bannside or myself are getting at here.

Lynchbhoy you obviously dont know john and michael taggart too well, michael especially, there is no chance in hell they would pay any money back to the subbies they bust no matter WHO they are ;)

between social club memebers and residents the casement project has continually run up against a brick wall,as i have said before if these people are so blind sided to realise the regeneration this would create in the area its not worth the trouble,as i have said before let the place rot for a few years and become a local hang out spot for the druggies and the rats and the local residents will soon change there tune.

Taggart the builders? Held a wedding in Drumsurn that cost an obscene amount of money shortly before leaving a tonne of subbies completely busted. Up sticks and carry on thier shenanigans in Thailand and now seem to be back in business here under the name Taggart again...I hope they get the book thrown at them. Crooks of the highest order

thats the boys alright,i know one man personelly who went bust because of these crooks, hope they do get the book thrown at them but like most of that sort they will wriggle out of it some way.

Clones is not a option if they want to claim the 61million grant from the british exchequer, last time i checked Clones was in the Republic.

IMO they should let it rot for a couple of years and let the rats and druggies take it over and the few residents who are trying to stop the development will be begging the GAA to come back!!

I have to say the first five songs are top class and hold there own against most of there previous albums, they have made it very clear they were not trying to create new anthems such as bad, streets New Year's Day etc and wanted songs which could be played acoustic just as easy and having heard a few of the album songs acoustically they seemed to achieved that,IMO of course.

Bikers are a very rare breed,i work with one.I suppose saying that racing to them is what gaa is to me but it goes way beyond that but its very hard not to have massive respect for them.

Does he have young children? if so I personally think that he is being very selfish. Every time he gets on his bike to race, he is risking leaving his children with no father. I find that very hard to comprehend.

he doesnt gerry but i dont know if it would change things if he was.

Did anyone watch last nights documentary on the Dunlops?I am not really a fan of motorsport but it was a fantastic program which was very difficult to watch at times.

Yea, watched the show or at least the majority of it. Have zero interest in motorsport but my wife told me it was on and with nothing else on I watched it. I actually remember playing a league game when word came through as it was ending that Joey had died and people were shocked and they were all GAA men and I couldn't believe the amount of men who had motor racing knowledge. I had a former manager who is a big GAA personality who goes to all the top bike races and swears by them as the best events about.. However, the programme was a great watch and hard to fathom the speed these guys get up to and the thrill they get out of it. Half of me thinks they are very selfish and the other half thinks they are to be admired as it is a crazy sport raced at crazy speeds...

i remeber being at derry v antrim in casement park and when they annouced it over the pa system the shock and complete silence was nothing i ever experiened at a GAA match before, just shows you the repect the man had even though like most people outside the sport believes it to be crazy.

He didn't try to grab him by the gonads.
He tried to pinch him.
Which, in a way, is much much worse.

grab pinch, whatever way you look at it lowest of the low
