Clogher beat Owen Roes by a point in a close enough finish, will be a tough one for the OR's to take. Clogher well on top in the first half but OR's worked themselves into a 3 point lead helped by a goal a wee bit against the run of play. Thought Clogher's race was run but a great goal put them a point ahead and they just about held on, although OR's had a couple of chances to force a draw so only have themselves to blame. A meaty enough "melee" after the game as well.

Brendan Boggs was outstanding for the losers, what age would he be now? Disappointed with Cathal McShane, tried too hard at times during the match and didn't cover himself in glory after it either. McConnel outstanding for the winners.

Killyclogher great spot for the game, pitch it great order.

On holidays so didn't make game tonight. Very disappointing result from us.

Re Cathal. Possibly a good example of the starred games problem i.e. lack of games.

He has had 30 minutes of football since 6th June and I think he only started to train with us again this week. No excuses and well done to Clogher but I know we were a bit surprised we got fired in to play a Cship game after no football for 6 weeks.

What happened after the game?

Yeah I think you and Clogher were definitely hard done by having a championship game fired at youse at the end of a supposed 2 week break for holidays. And now a league game on Sunday too? Good point too about Cathal McShane as well probably was trying too hard as oakleaf said as he hadn't been around much this year for Owen Roes. Did you have a change of management a few weeks ago or was that just rumours?

Is it just me or does anyone else think Barry McGuigan is insufferable to listen to.  I cant warm to the man at all.

+1

I think he is the reason why a lot of people would like to see Frampton fail. He has everything that people in the North of the country could and would get behind, but then you have that other pr**k mouthing off at every opportunity and that turns people off.

A year or 18 months ago I would have disagreed with CL but the past while he is starting to grate on me big style. His dislike of Eddie Hearn is delaying the Quigg fight in my opinion. On the other hand I think Shane is a great trainer by the looks of it and actually talks a lot of sense. Whether he got the last fight wrong in terms of the camp and tactics is hard to know but I am sure he will learn from that too.

Tyrone can definitely draw Donegal. Sure didn't Fermanagh play Antrim a round or two after they played each other in Ulster?

What has happened Tyrone? Complete shambles at the minute. A team of overhyped players who produced 5 years ago at minor but have done nothing since.

Whose hyping them up???

Tyrone made hard work of it today. Morgan and mcaliskey were liabilities tbh. Morgans decision making was poor and the sooner Mickey O'Neill is back the better. Mcaliskey was having a shocker and was even lucky to put one over from 21 yards Off the ground. In the warmup he was banging 45's over no probs. Also Peter Harte was poor up until he scored 1-1. Sorry but not sure if Richie donnelly is up to county level. Positives were that Mark bradley was superb and tiernan McCann made a big difference when he came on. Tyrone have still enough to get through next round but that is as good as it will get.
Funny statement that!  He was poor up until he was brilliant?

mate, he was having a mare and would probably have been hooked by most managers, but then somehow he turned it around and scored 1-1. is that difficult to understand?

Old yeller have you never seen a player play poorly them turn it around with a few scores? You mustn't have seen much football if you haven't. You'd see it any club game in the country!

Correct AZ.
Usually refs give goalies a free out if anyone comes close to them.

What is the official rule there with goalkeepers? Is it any touch at all and it's a foul?

Not correct.

Official rule book states:
"When he is within the small rectangle, the goalkeeper may not be charged but he may be challenged for possession of the ball, and his puck, kick or pass may be blocked. Incidental contact with the goalkeeper while playing the ball is permitted."

Good to know the actual ruling! Seems like a cop out by referees who seem to just award a free for any contact at all.

That Paul Smith weight issue seems very strange. How can he miss it by that much?? I was reading there about the morning weigh in at 184.4 lbs yet his last fight he was 165.5lbs! There seems to be a lot of talk about catch weight fights the past few weeks anyway.
