if tyone are ever going to win a game in the ulster championship they need scoring forwards cathal mcshane barry tierney mattie donnelly sean cavnagh peter harte mccaliskey tiernan mccann and now add the scoring sensation that is packie mcnulty are not out and out scorers im sorry. o neill coney are they have guile. stephen o neill was marginalised to protect a porous defence and protect the sideline. dublin destroyed tyrone 2011 man to man tyrone have been in denial ever since. id guarantee a change of management would have the two best and most gifted forwards playing in the full forward line.

Are you being serious? Ronan 'Fat Arse" O'Neill needs to be dropped from the Senior team. He can't play County football simple as.

Well done Tyrone, they won doing what Tyrone teams have been doing for the past dozen years so the rest of the country cant say we did not know what was coming, Tipp were no angels either but they have a lot to learn if they are going to take Tyrone on at that game, so to give Tyrone their full dues WHAT A GREAT CYNICAL CHEATING DIRTY FOOTBALLING TEAM THEY ARE. These young men are a credit to their families community parish club and county, ye should all be proud of the way ye prepared these young men to represent ye, CONGRATS.

Don't have a hissy fit! No cheating done. Yes they are a credit to the County and Club's. Tipperary were fouling across the field because they couldn't match Tyrone's pace. And after 65 minutes of football, Tipp still hadn't responded to the short kick out.

have u been up at garvaghy? its actually very well laid out.both the building and the pitches.i wonder how much they made by hiring the pitches out, it was fully booked there all along for a few months.to many people knock the tyrone setup which is one the best run county boards about, both financially and playing wise
Well saying as you asked...
The gym at garvaghy is not fit for purpose,
There is no sports hall at the venue (Tyrone seniors go to a sports hall in Cookstown for fitness testing)
Tyrone hurlers turned up to train on the Wednesday of the 1st round of the under 21 Ulster championship and the caretaker didn't even bother to hang around to turn the lights on for them.
The site is possibly the windiest place in Tyrone.
But sure you keep telling us how well laid out the place is and how much money it is generating and the clubs will continue to pay for its upkeep and the county team will continue to look for alternative venues to train

Let's face it. Garvaghey is a badly designed building. Because it's in a 'T', there is so much wasted space that can't be used for anything e.g. the excess space in the foyer, the poor gym, changing rooms being on the wrong side of the building. So many problems that shouldn't have occurred.

Wait 10-15 years for the trees around the perimeter to grow high and reduce some of that wind.

There is no reason why this week's games wouldn't go ahead? The Final is on Saturday so wouldn't effect Club's. If they win then the U21's won't be sober the next day to play for their Club, if they lose then they'll be good to go with the later throw in.

Earlier in the week they had the times on the website as 4.30pm and 6.00pm. I assumed this was to TRY and give the U21s recovery time.

You'd wonder why that wasn't something they'd consider..........

Times are now changed. Seems there was a typo. Games now at 4.30 and 6pm.

Tried to get results of Tyrone's Twitter a/c there, but all resources were at Donegal hurling play-off (a draw). Hopefully in the morning, the football scores will have filtered through.

All on the website. They appear on there almost immediately- referee texts into a computer system.

Any results in?

Good start for the Clarkes. Beat Donaghmore by 1 point.

Correction: The Dungannon umpire won Dungannon their 1st game back in senior football. Called a blinder, proved a vital score (no score)

No HawkEye in Donaghmore??

Fergal Logan sent out an email to Club's today. I got forwarded a copy of the email-

A Chairde,

The Tyrone U-21 Management did request a postponement of all this weekend's Fixtures involving Panel members.  We believe that in order to give this group of players the best opportunity to fulfil their potential for All-Ireland success, in seven days' time, they should not be involved in competitive League fixtures.  Each player on the Panel has prepared diligently to date and has represented their Club and County with honour and pride.  All of their work in reaching the All-Ireland semi-final  would undoubtedly be put at risk by involvement in competitive League action this weekend.

Accordingly, we respectfully request that they do not play this weekend.  We are most conscious of the Clubs' predicament also, however we are required, in all of the circumstances, to attempt to reach the most balanced position.

Thank you.

Le Meas,

Feargal Logan
Brian Dooher
Peter Canavan.

Interesting to say the least. The CCC have ignored the thoughts of the U21 management.

Honestly the whole Development Squad/ Academy system is flawed. After weeks of trials, young players could be dropped with no notice. That does nothing for their confidence at such a vital and important age! The Club's then have to take flack from disgruntled parents/parents.

Surely the money would be better spent by spreading it across every Club in Tyrone to develop their players in house. At the minute players from smaller Club's are unlikely to go far compared to players from Division 1 teams.

According to reliable sources, Roisin Jordan and Mickey Harte ended up having an aggressive argument with each other at the County Management meeting on Tuesday. Apparently others had to literally stand between them.

The CB needs to put it's foot down and get rid of MH is he doesn't play ball. They should be in control not him.

Any new or interesting appointments in Division 3? It has been reported that Finbar McConnell will take the reigns in Owen Roes, was surprised to hear that he was leaving NTS and more surpised he was taking on another Division 3 side.

That's what I've heard. Surprising especially for those from Newtown who only found out that he'd left them via Facebook. Cant see why Owen Roes would want him, he didn't win a single game last year.

Not sure of any new developments on the management front.

I would rank the teams as
1 omagh
2 clonoe
3 errigal
4 dromore
5 island
6 Carmen
7 ardboe
8 killyclogher
9 moy
10 trillick
11 eglish
12 donghamore
13 dungannon
14 augher
15 greencastle
16 strabane

I'd say Killyclogher have a better chance than that. It may have been forgotten that they won the Senior League this year due to Omagh being in Ulster.

The new committee was appointed tonight. I have a bad feeling with Roisin Jordan as Chairperson. What are your thoughts?

the lady is only in through the door and you have a "bad feeling" - what the f**k?

She was far from brilliant as head of the CCC. Not an easy job I know, but their were some serious problems throughout the last 5 years.
