Hughes in Dungannon have it the otherway with Carrickmore 4/6 and Dromore 6/4. I nterestingly if you put Money on Dromore to reach the final outright with Hughes and Carmen to reach the final outright with Paddypower, you cant lose! Someone has got it wrong somewhere.

Barring a draw it is a gauranteed 25% return on your investment. Ker-ching. :o

Are Carmen now favourites to win the Championship?

Looking at the Paddy Powers betting Dromore are favourites to beat Carmen, 8/13.

What ?

I mean if he doesnt have the ball he thinks he should have it all the time. Which to mean it would be more beneficial if Petey Harte, Enda McGinley, Cathal McRory or Caoalan Tierney had it.

In your opinion of course. Isnt Ciaran McGinley one of the top scorers for EC this season.
Peter obviously rates him very highly. Though maybe Canavan should come to you for advice on the team ???

I would never say Erriggal had a good forward line. Pet Harte, Ronan McRory and John Kelly pose threats but Dromroes defence hadnt much till do last Saturday. We broke even in midfield but our half back line wasnt good.

You definately don't have much time for your top scorer.

No, they have the pleasure of hammering IFA/Linfield at their own ground, Solitude, now. New floodlights in operation for the first time last night and the match was live on Sky as well so IFA/Linfield's embarrassment was exposed to a huge audience ;D

What sort of viewing figures is Sky getting for this borefest?

Have watched the incident a few times now and it looks pretty bad.  Doesn't look that McConville lifted his elbow though.  I think the size difference between the two players could explain a lot of it.  McPeake seems to come into contact with the Ardboe player's shoulder.  Don't really think that there any intent in it.

yea mcconville is a big man and dont think he went to hurt mcpeake but its still a blatent free cos he just stepped straight into him and shouldered him on the face/chest when he was tackling him. dont know what the ref was thinking not blowing.said my piece on it, dont wana talk about the ref again!talk about something else like the weather or something, women anything  cept the ref  ;)

Now I haven't seen the clips yet but the descriptions I am now hearing are sounding a bit more like my memory of what happened. A lot of people claimed an elbow at the time but to me it looked like McPeake run into McConvilles shoulder. If it had been an elbow at that speed he would not have got up.

I would have made an argument at the time that McConville raised the Shoulder to protect himself from a player running at him but "shoulder to face" as opposed to "face to shoulder" would be considered a shoulder charge and should have been a free out.
The interpretation of what happened would come down to the direction the 2 players were travelling in.

I copy and past both my username and my password, yet I always have to log in twice as my password is incorrect the first time. WTF?
That used to happen to me about a year ago. Every time, I had to put it in twice, even though I was sure I had it right the first time.
Tony Fearon had the same problem if I remember correctly.

It could be your browser. When using Firefox I have to hit refresh after logging in as the computer seems to freeze but I don't have the same issues with Safari or IE.

Happens me as well.

Been happening a lot lately with assaults being carried out for little or no reason. If its true, shame on the perpetrators, whether they be Tones men or not.

agree wholeheartedly final whistle although I can assure you that they werent tones men

There is too much of it happening recently, and while not condoning it for a moment the first thing that occured to me was the Coalisland Omagh game earlier this year where an Omagh player got his jaw broken. At the time there was talk of a Fianna mentor being involved.
I hope he can make a speedy recovery.

How is raymie mulgrew getting on with cookstown? Last i heard he was woeful and not even getting the chf spot on the team. Are the mulligans still the main men there?
is he not suspended, thought he was sent off last week?
[/b]

He was sent off but it was rescinded to 2 yellow cards. The referee must have been wrong to send him off for a straight red offence.
By all accounts Paul Daniels was on the case and he turned a red card into 2 yellows

I laways thought Paul had the makings of a decent referee.  ;)

Couldn't be any worse than j*h* K*rl*n  ;)
Ach now *o*n *e**i* is not the worst of them, not the best but...

Why don't we just stay off the field?  ???

It's not a tradition, it's a pile of shite. We should leave the players to enjoy their day nice lap of honour, everyone gets to see the presentation.

Even putting aside safety concerns it's better all round.

At the very least give the players a chance to get into the protected area.
Let the yahoos leap about and jump on each other but let the men who have give it all for 70 minutes (And an entire season) have a chance to commiserate / congratulate their opponents and celebrate with the men who put the work in along with them without being mauled by a crowd of yahoos who only know them from their pictures in the paper.

A lot of Tyrone senior teams will be fancying their chances of an Ulster Club Championship now that Cross are out of the Armagh championship.
I don't think they'll be looking that far ahead.

True enough. But Ulster is wide open this year especially with Ballinderry and Mayobridge both out of their respective championships. Tyrone are overdue an Ulster club title really.

Errigal are the only Tyrone men for that job ;) We have played Cross 5 times in Ulster club and they have not beat us yet.

Hardest bit about winning and Ulster title is getting out of Tyrone. We will not be thinking about anything else but Dromore for the next week.

My count is 4, including 2 draws. Where are you getting 5 from?

I would have my gripes with the Tyrone CCC, but it's a very difficult job with no easy answers. To be honest I think this year they've done very well with fixtures etc. and a sub note their info flow with fixtures, results, tables, website is excellent. You'll have most of the ACL results withing 30 minutes of the full time whistle.

Even aertel can't do that.

agree with you there norf, definatly has been a shambles in the past but, whilst far from perfect, a far better job has been done this year

And to back that up, as posted on the Tyrone page
Positives:
13 League games played to date - August
Only 4 games played without county players - max of 5 if Tyrone had progressed to All-Ireland final
Minimum 4 league games played in July and August per club compared to 1 last year

Negitives:
Starred games have not always been equal e.g. Kildress (0 county player) v Moy (4 county players).

Tyrone CCC seem to have their act together.

Hows everyone fancy the relegation issues to turn out now then after last weekends results?

Think eglish and the lough will be in the bottom 2 and then its just a matter of who finishes 3rd bottom between Aghyran, Kildress, Killyclogher, Coalisland and Trillick.  Its going to be very tight thats for sure!

Don't forget Dromore are also on 11 points. Their derby with Trillick and Coalislands game against Eglish, the "games in hand" will have a big bearing on things.

How does relegation work this year with the starred games. Surely it is not just bottom 2 down and thirdd from bottom playing off with the Intermediate runners up?

For me, football in the pre 00's was more about scoring more than your opponent(as if it never was but ye know what I'm trying to get at). Todays game has a more tactical slant to it, mostly either containment or stopping the other team from playing. The all out attck of the 80's an 90's was more pleasing on the eye, but it didn't always guarantee success. The game has move on from then, perhaps we, as supporters should too. Its never going to go back to a shoot out.

The past is always better. New ways are always worse.

I was reading Mick O's book at the weekend and he claims the Down team of 60-61 introduced new levels of fitness and conditioning (and possibly even hit the weights over the winter) but that they also introduced a bit of northern cynicism, always being ready to foul, and to foul on an organised basis to stop the opposition!!!
