hello phollain og, i was just wondering how long have you been following Gaelic Football,and what aspects of the game do you enjoy.Good luck with your training, you never know you might be the 1st polish jackeen to lift the sam maguire.    

if you want real luxury with loads to do then the Dolphin hotel in Crossmolina.
Breaffy(or breghwwyyyylly as it known locally)   would be the best of the rest though  it would come safter Ashford in the rank of mayo hotels and you dont want go near westport full of german wonder why some one told them to go there

i'd probaly go to Knockranny Hotel in Westport beautifull hotlel and there is always a nice buzz around the town, plenty of nice pubs and make sure to have a pint of the black stuff in matt molloys. 

some twisted sicko take a child but most of the posters here seem to want to attach blame to the parents, any child whos is allowed out to play is in danger of being kidnapped ,run over , groomed , raped ect but these are very rare occurances should we lock all our childern to their Playstations to grow stupid and obese because one child in a foreign country goes missing ? . statistic would shouw kids are in far more danger in the home or with male relatives than out playing. the fact that the story is still nnews 2 weeks later underlines this point.

Whats more important going out for a meal or minding your kids. There is a time and place for everthing.

but i still can't believe that maddies parents went out for meal and left their 3 children under 4 years of age alone. As a parent myself my main duty is to protect my kids especially in this day and age ,i know its a sad state of affairs but i would not let my children play out in the front garden unattended because you do not know who is out there, you don't know who may be watching. When people choose to become parents from the moment your child is born you life changes only 1 thing in life matters and that is your child, they are precious and come before everything else.     

Totally agree with you regarding the protection of children, but having stayed in one of these resorts/complexes, it wouldnt really feel like you "went out for meal and left your children alone". You're still in the complex, you're only across the swimming pool from your kids who are asleep in bed. I do not know what security is like in that particular compex, but in the one I was in last year there were only two entrances and both had 24 hour security. Nobody allowed in unless you are a resident or a worker.

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old, and like you I wouldnt dream of leaving them on their own for even a minute, but I can understand how the parents got lulled into a sense of security, especially as there would have been other parents doing exactly the same thing.

I understand what your saying hound i also stayed in a similiar complex a few years ago it was gated security with only 1 entrance,One day we just popped down to the shops to get some messages came back 30 minutes later and our apartment was looted , imagine if we had left our kids there unattended.  my point is that you have to be even more carefull on holidays as you don't know who is watchng you.

All that matters at the moment is finding maddie and hoping that she is alive, of course our thoughts are with her  parents but i still can't believe that maddies parents went out for meal and left their 3 children under 4 years of age alone. Well i wont be watching them this week because i'll be at the Galway mayo match, but from now on the minute those two langers come on the tv  i'm changing the channel. Rte should look at bringing podge and rodge on as anaylsts they would be easier to watch and make more sense than the two muppets they have on at the moment 

Fair play to Grimley.O'rourke and Brolly try to act like Dunphy when their on tv,difference is their commenting on Amateur players who go out and try their best, and for 2 ex Gaelic footballers to be coming out with snide remarks weeks after week at this stage its just disgracefull. The thing about them is that some are their comments aren't even football realated, in 2004 for e.g they made snide remarks about the appearance of Ciaran Mc and Mortimer, nothing to do with football at all. Its time rte got rid of these pair of Wasters.

ye we won the cup back in 2001 it was some experience bringing the Andy Merrigan cup home. As you said you grew uo with these lads and played football together since under 10's it was brilliant. I think it was Aridan Ronan from kilkenny he had won 4 all irelands but said he would swap them all to win just 1 club title, they lost to Athenry in the final in 2001 but at least he has his 4 AI medals to console him.

Keane wasn't an angel on the pitch yes but you cant compare Keane to Barton.Barton has allready assaulted 3 team mates one by putting a lighted cigarette in his eyes he is a complete sc**bag.
