Ciaran Hanrattys first goal against Down. It was a good move and a deadly finish.

Slogo's win against Galway

Brolly was class but as a player opposing fans didn't like him. The blowing kisses was funny the first time but it just made him more hated. I suppose the fact that he blew the kisses quite often shows how good he was. He just loved to annoy - and he still does it well as a pundit.

So its the same 15 for Monaghan with Corey remaining at full-back for now. Damien will drop back to half-back and JP will more than likely operate as a 3rd midfielder again. Finlay to drop deep leaving Tommy and Hanners up front. Roll on Saturday!!

Meath have kept going nicely since the Dublin game. Galway have struggled since the Mayo game. Derry proved that Mayo are just poor this year so I'll go for meath with a bit to spare

Very sad news indeed - Right to call off the games on Sunday

Monaghan could do without losing Dessie Mone - A class performer at corner back this year. Played well on Mulligan on Sunday (only for mulligan to con frees from the ref). He also did a good job on Coulter and on Bradley already this year.

But I still agree with most posts here that losing Tommy would be a disaster altogether.  Scored 1-3 on Sunday after Conor Gormley did a great job on him (1-2 from play)

I think Vinney will be full-back again. If not JP will be moved to defence and Flanagan will most likely replace young morgan this time. Jap needs to be out the field and not at Full-Forward. We could play a full-forward line of Rory - Vinny - Tommy but I think we will probably just try Hughie or throw smith back in to the 14 jersey
Banty has options so it would be very hard to predict - even if he had the team alredy named.

Apologies - I don't capiche

I am totally wrong and there is a draw for the quarters.  It did work that way for the last 2 years but not this year.

I STAND CORRECTED

Mulgrews goal for Tyrone against Donegal - at least 8 steps before he hit a cracking goal.  Finished Donegal off.

I don't see Monaghan or Tyrone as dirty teams.  There were a few questionable tackles and off the ball incidents but it happens in most games.  I do think its unfair when forwards earn a handy free when 2 players are holding onto each other, but I blame the refs here. The forward will try it surely but it has been highlighted enough over the last year or two for the ref to watch out for it.  He has umpires to help him too.
Mulligan has been talked about here because the ref bought it - which is the ref's fault.

This will be a real test and both teams will fancy their chances. Donegal had a tough ulster and never reached the heights of their league form. But they haven't become a bad team and show signs of getting back on track over the past few weeks. The week off will help them too. Monaghan will take heart from their final display and the disappointment can be overturned and the positives taken from the game. It's hard to call.
Many people at the start of the championship had this pairing as a possible ulster final.

Mayo got beat because they let Paddy Bradley get going. If you stop him early his effect can be nullified. He scored 1-10 in an ulster match a couple of years ago against Monaghan (I think it was monaghan) yet they were tight from the start in the ulster semi and he was very quiet - tho he did get a sloppy goal
