although there is no left-footed free taker,

Have every confidence in Carr and Mccomiskey delivering. Last year U21's used McComiskey alot on the right hand side and Carr hit a few good frees from that side.

So far this year though I'd say frees haven't been an issue, and there haven't been enough to justify it being an issue. Possibly an argument for the new rules? It's not that bad though, BBC websites report to day was that fermanagh needed any one to kick frees left or right footed.

As the championship is off and running and gatherin pace...  songs that remind you of great days out, or the championship in general.

Anybody got a favourite?
I can't think of any that stick out. Early snow Patrol as BBC don't seem to believe in any other bands for their sports reports! The Championship opening scene.

One of the sounds that sticks out is the tune before and after adds on RTE radio sunday sport.

Can anyone clarify the John Clarke Situation? I hear he went to see Marty at a get together against Ross's Wishes and was told not to come back!

And who writes Downs Team Sheet on the website.
Paul McCumiskey?

From what I've heard it will be a minor miracle if Down win it.

No value in 5/1

3rd man tackle, is this not the arrival of a 2nd defender (3rd man) to tackle the ball carrier?   2 man tackles are definatley not allowed.

Are you a lady? If so best not to include your phone number as part of your name on this board!

1960 1961 1968 1991 1994

I can assure you it wasn't my first choice.

Fans don't want to see the team with the naturally tallented, Muldon in this case, being taken out so that's an argument for the case someone pointed out that the kick outs should be laid out like the throw in. Onl the 4 midfielders allowed within the 45's

2nd man tackle, or 3rd man if you count the ball carier. 2 on one in favour of defending team, both men tackling the ball carrier. Was on of the keys to tyrones success. They had 3 or 4 men swamping players.

Watching Down and Armagh last night I saw some brilliant fielding from Down (highly unusual) but most times hindered by landing with 3 armagh men around them with nowhere to go and a ref that hadn't heard of 2nd man tackle. I just though if there was a mark introduced between the 2 45's it would revive the art of a catch which seems to have died.
