This is only the beginning. This was a as obvious as it gets. Sligo should send letter of complaint to GAA. We deserve better treatment. All we ask for is fair chance and we didnt get that. We were cheated and only M hughes knows why he gave everything to Cavan. He was disgrace to his county, club, and the GAA. He has no intregrity
I mean a Cavan fan was embarrased what does that say..

I travelled on Saturday night to Cavan only to witness one of the most bias and cheating performance of ref I have ever witnessed. Now people will say I am bias towards Sligo. A cavan supporter said he would take the 2pts but he was embarrased and the ref was unfair but in the long run he did Cavan no favours because they did not deserve to win.

The fiirst half was a joke. The first thing ohara did was catch a ball in the spectaculary. But no protection after that. Ohara was getting hammered on/off the ball and then ref would give free against him. If a cavan player dived hed get a free. Frustration was building all the time. Handing frees to cavan and giving yellow cards to Sligo for every foul. D kelly constantly getting fouled on/off the ball. It was just unbelieveabvle. How many Sligo players were injured?? with no free in sight.

I thought I had seen it all M brehony getting sent off. But then Kelly got kicked off the ball on the ankle and umpire seen but never put his hand up. Our physio actyually gave out to the ref for not protecting the Sligo players and got name taken. Now for a physio to do that. We were cheated. Most of our scores came from play and we played all the football and I was quite proud the players didnt react cos I would of. Every Sligoman was of the same opinion. Couldnt believe it. Any true Gaa MAN including Cavan fans could see it. Cavan are poor but we made them look poor. REf won it for them. Take a bow M Hughes. You cheat. Any evidence just get a tape of game :-[.

My dad reminds me of one of his best performances often.

Apparatently Kearins scored 15pts (11 from play) against Mayo in the championship AET I think. That speaks volumes.

Under lights in Breffni. Have to win it. Last time I was there we made a great comeback and won 1-16 to 1-12. Cavan seem to be flying then again so were Westmeath last year. Ive funny feeling Greene will be our most important player. I always worry about cavan forwards fast and strong and quick on the turn which may create a few one on ones. Need to get the midfield partnership going. I really hope Quinn steps up and proves me wrong. S Davey no one knows what performance he will give. Hopefully Martyn and Mcnamara are back. Is mccabe still playing? Only thing I am sure of is Id say there wont be many from Sligo at the game. I will be though. Brefni is a class ground and sheltered too.

I think sweeney will step up again and we are better than we showed against Meath so we need big performance. Full back line will have learned alot from last game.
This is a championship type game for us more so.

K quinn:
It was like the ball was hot when he had it in hand. Fumbling and never had his up. I was at a different game. You were clearly at Coolera v meath. I was at Sligo v meath.

O hara desrves alot more credit for his performance yday. He was outstanding.

I can only pray that someday we will be united together as one when the magpies roll on. Club bias costs us at underage, senior and in the stands. Too much division. Curry men will knock ohara every chance they get and visa versa with club players. You will say Im knocking Quinn but I actually know him and hes a sound lad. Not personal just through my eyes hes not up to it and I could add a few others.

Im a st molaise gaels man. But I would put Sligo first.

Im not backtracking but there are a few good apples in Roscommon just alot of bad ones. More bad ones in Ross than any other county Ive seen except for Armagh. You are right that everyone deserves there day in the sun but one as to remember with having being to every Sligo championship since 1989 and no silverware you have to forgive me for not knowing what that feels like.

Considering our history Id expect 31 counties to be shouting for us if we got to connaght final. Its more becuase yee feel sorry for us than anything else but I welcome it all the same.

I have to say too we play NY first so I better not get ahead of myself.

Club loyalties sean, blinkered vision. I grant you Karl o neill did ok when introduced yday. Quality on the ball but our backs are poor without. Kieran Quinn was atrocious yday.Hes more effective than Taylor becauseat least he gives 100%.  If you can tell me one good thing he did. I 'll grant you also that he wasnt alone. Ohara was on his own midfield. Our first choice midfield if fit is O Hara and Doohan in my view.

Sean davey ff yee say. When has he looked anyways interested in playing there. I honestly dont think he likes it. Id say he prefers midfield which means hes facing the goals rather back too. Hes off form no doubt.

FAY was marking sweeney plus the fact supply was slow and poor I wouldnt write him off.

Bad day at the office and its all on the day we just werent up for it simple as that. We will have to be for Cavan.

MCGARTY,MCNAMARA,MARTYN AND DOOHAN BIG PLAYERS TO COME BACK. NO DOUBTING THAT. ;D

As we are playing Roscommon in the Summer how good are they? Are they still very physical? Oneill is big man and dirty. I expected a tighter scoreline.

Ross fans speak for themselves.. Nobody likes them.. Actually Im suprised you didnt hear they are the all ireland champions chant. Some believe they won the Sam maguire. I like reminding them it was the minor they won.

Was at the gmae and came away with reality check. On a positive note I thought O HARA was outstanding and p mcgovern too. The sligo players didnt seem up for it in the sense we were very flat. No intensity and never got going. Meath were outstanding though and so clinical. Was very impressed. Im worried now because we have to lift it big time for Cavan.

Meath are big strong physical side with good footballers. Our full back line is small and wasnt able to cope physcically. Problem is our defenders are good on the ball but without sometimes lose concentation and lose there man.

Our forwards seemed overawed by meath very flat and little or no running off the ball. Just a strange performance from us.

The biggest problem yday was Roscommon winning by 9pts against clare and roscommon are physical side so will we be able to cope in the CSFC? I doubt it.

Roche impressed me that with his high fielding but not the fastest midfielder. We lost by 2pts in an even enough encounter. Will count for nothing on March 31st though. Itd be great to bring them down to earth after the minor success. But Im thinking our u21s are weak enough this year. Kelly and taylor is all I can think of.

We are playing Antrim day after in NFL. Will be an interesting weekend.
