Wouldn't be where they are today but for what was done in the past to improve them. That type of improvement made in a short space of time hasn't been seen in sport since Michelle Smith  ;)

Say the Dubs win in 2018.
4 in a rows in the 2 sports within a period of 15 years is not a great sign of underlying health.
A timely reminder from 1996 to 2010 Dublin footballers didn't even reach All Ireland final. 2011 to 2017 they have won 5 All Irelands and unlike Mayo the last few years they haven't needed the rub of the green to reach All Ireland finals.

The idea that Man Coty will continually dominate is outlandish in the extreme.

Kompany just got injured and it looks serious
Apart from de bruyne he is their most influential player
PL is in the bag but CL is looking shaky

It's 4 or 5 years since kompany was one of Citys most influential players.  Their strength in depth is so good right now that they didn't need to use arguably the best striker in the league in the Manchester Derby. They will either win this season's champions league or the team that beats them will win it.

Some pass by Debruyne on that City goal.

75m for Van Dijk  :o did Liverpool employ someone daft on their transfers business?

If it's the right player it doesent matter on the fee, the clubs can all afford it

Not sure £75m should be a surprise given that was the fee widely quoted all year

Liverpool need more than one defender and could have got a few good defenders for that 75m fee. Fair play to Southampton though for holding out and getting such a fee for Van Dijk

Such as who? Where are all these 'good' defenders that would total at 75m?

You shop around and not be focused on just one target as Liverpool have done with Van Dijk. Otamendi is the best centre back for Man City right now and he cost about 28M.

Man City wouldn't have paid the those fees for Pogba or Lukaku and i think their record transfer fee is still De Bruyne for about 66 million? They would buy two or three players for the price of Pogba.

I must read up on what "pathetic" comments that Mourinho was meant to have said.

Is the Peter McNulty Tournament happening in January ?
I think i read somewhere that collective training for county U20 teams next year isn't allowed until April.

Pogba was anonymous. Substitutes worked as Mkhitaryan,Lingard led the comeback. Burnley i don't think created a single chance from open play all game and in the 2nd half their possession was just 22%. Burnley were also lucky they didn't see a red card or two in that game.

Not alot has changed with that result. League was out of reach before the game, still ahead of Chelsea,Tottenham,Liverpool and Arsenal. A 2nd or 3rd place finish would be a big improvement from the last 4 seasons.

Two bad goals given away and it took Burnley until the 3rd minute of injury time to produce their 3 attempt on target. 2-0 lead with just 30% possession. Some outstanding defending to stop Ibrahimovic,Rashford from scoring.

Saw Brooklyn last night for first time. Surprisingly enjoyable. Ended kind of abruptly but very good overall.

First time i saw it also, a decent watch and similar to the story of my aunt that went to New York in the 50s. Could see why Saoirse Ronan was nominee for best actress and apparently she is favorite for Oscar in 2018 for her role in Lady Bird's.

Justin pipe is gonna gets dogs abuse from the crowd in this one after the coughing incident in the last round.
Was really enjoying Pipe's antics. Pity he missed those darts to take the set. Was really getting under Taylor's skin.
Was really enjoying himself and didn't seem to give a shite that he lost.

There could be 20 points gap between the 2 Manchester teams at the end of the season.
And if so that would say how high Man City has raised the bar to be fair. For example Man United in 2007/8 (their last great team) had 45 points after 19 games just 3 more points than the current points total United have.
