sorry fogrot to add Im pretty sure the pitch will remain where it is as the seating plan looks identical to the existing layout of Casement also the article I attched the other day from Belfastmediagroup states that retaill units including ticket office and merchandise shop will be located at the Andytown road end so no room to move the pitch in that direction as for the colour of the walls -  these days you just dont know lol.

Good stuff Johnny. Have you a link to any images of the redesign of Pairc Ui Chaoimh??

Found these plans on casement residents twitter account who seem pretty pi$$ed off about not being informed about whats going on. To be fair I thought there was information up at the leisure centre aswell as a Q&A open day. My quick research also found a letter that had been sent to the residents so I dont really know what they are talking about! Reading their comments they dont seem too happy with how the stadium looks either.
What do you think yourselves?
I do think the Andytown road end looks odd but it may grow on me.  Im not so sure about the yellow its a bit much even for an Antrim man , the seats yes, but the rest of it can we not find something more neutral.

The steep tier along andytown road will definitely lend to an improved atmosphere. My only concern again would be how often it is filled. I know this topic has been discussed at great length and we would be foolish to turn down money when it is available. Would liked to have seen something around the 25k mark with a roof but perhaps that is out of the question. Will the pitch remain in the same location or shift slightly towards the andytown road as the M1 end is quite tight. Big money was spent on a media area at this end. I wonder is it to remain or be relocated?

Everything is going  :(

I think the yellow is just the colour chosen by the design firms when doing the modelling. So would be shocked if it had yellow walls and roof ;) it looks like 2 tiers which is also surprising. I imagine the residents won't be happy about that. Is that green band in the 2nd image a corporate level??

In Derry you would say the biggest teams would be Bellaghy, Ballinderry and Lavey. Dungiven and Loup have also major titles of late. In recent years Kilrea, Magherafelt, Slaughtneil and Glen have dominated the underage scene in the county. With club football being number one in the county, competition is high at all levels.

So the likelihood is the Glen/St Johns will be shifted unless Errigal shock Cross!!

Ah you wouldn't know now - sure didn't Cross and Burren toss for the venue last year and them only thirty miles apart and not wanting to go traipsing up to Béal Feirsde getting stuck in behind all the Christmas shoppers on the roads.

What's the reasoning behind having St Pauls minor games in Casement anyway?? Is it a fixture backlog or something?!

St Johns v Watty Grahams confirmed for 1-30pm in Casement Park on Sunday 2nd December.

(If a Crossmaglen v Kilcoo match is taking place there, then the Preliminary Round game will be moved to St Pauls)

If it was Cross v St Galls final would it be in the Athletic grounds??

Neutral ground required - would be having a tenner* on Páirc Esler for that fixture.
(* Have already lost a tenner in this thread)

So the likelihood is the Glen/St Johns will be shifted unless Errigal shock Cross!!

Donegal minor semis called off until the weekend

Surely they will struggle to get the final over before the 25th when their 1st round game is due!

Well just like a patchwork quilt the club size covers almost everything in the area and they say if they were to design a jersey with a colour from every club allegiance within the parish they say it would resemble a patchwork quilt.  That one Ive heard 10 years ago...
My feeling is that Errigal are probably the only Tyrone club to have represented the county with any real ambition.   I would love to see them beat St Galls in the final.

Who were the other clubs?

Pardon my ignorance EC but just wondering as an outsider from what clubs did Errigal form?? Was there 2 or 3 that came together? Cheers.

One. The club was formally known as St Ciaran's Ballygawley. There was a fall out and a few in the townland of Glencull tried and failed to start their own club. It was never officially a club and never played in any division. Then everyone came together, made up and renamed the club Errigal Ciaran. It covers the same geographical area as St Ciaran's Ballygawley always did. It was simply renamed and colours slightly changed to keep everyone happy.

Thanks EC!! Appreciate that.

Walter conway was subbed. Did he come on at the end and have a go and harte?

It wasn't James that hit him in the back it was Darren.

The badness must run the family!!!!!

Id give sucky bell another year as he still is minor is he not and aaron devlin floats in and out of games too easily to make a breakthrough at county level and needs time to develop physically also. I dont know if he was called up last week or not but still umder 21 and has time to develop. He has been poor in this years derry sfc. Aye I think deets is passed it now, I let my heart rule my head there on that one!! Gilligam is such an honest footballer who gives it his all that I wish more people were like him in the derry squad.

No angel lets just say. Aaron took a very heavy hit early on today. Thought he was excellent in the Derry final though. Gilligan was played out position today. He doesn't have the legs for wing half forward. Sucky is certainly developed enough to play senior football. Just needs to put a solid performance together. Plays in fits and starts. He's young though.
