Showing my age but there was a shower in my school that used to write the names of music bands/singers on their schoolbags.

There wasn't a canvas school bag in our school without the obligatory AC/DC, Iron Maiden or whoever painted and varnished over on the big flap lid.

Came in handy in the odd row as well as those metal buckle ends could do some damage.

Hard to believe Galway have never beaten Wexford in the championship.

The Noam Chomsky affair from last Sunday has once again shown Israhell up for been a rogue state who don't care for anyone. Noam Chomsky, who is jewish, is regarded as been the worlds greatest living intellect, and he was due to deliver a speech in Palestine on Monday. At approx 4pm last Sunday, he was crossing from Jordan into Palestine, and the Israhelli Occupation Forces stopped him, interrogated him for 3 hours, and then denied himself and his daughter entry into Palestine.

Stakeholders, club supporters in particular, have been betrayed and the football authorities caught napping.
Christian Aid recently sought to establish the true ownership of every club in the four top English leagues, the Scottish and Welsh Premier leagues and the Irish League in Northern Ireland. We discovered that 14 English Premier League clubs and a further five in the Championship, together with one in League One and two in the Scottish Premier League, were now based offshore.
In the developing world, that same secrecy leads to tax dodging on a truly massive scale. We estimate that every year, the revenue lost to developing countries amounts to $160bn – around one-and-a-half times the size of the international aid budget. If available to use, it could save the lives of some 350,000 children under five every year. Financial secrecy comes at a price. For football fans, it can jeopardise the existence of their clubs. In developing countries, financial secrecy costs lives.

It's wrong that over half of the population of Gaza is dependent on food aid. It could all be ended tomorrow.

Just read this and I must say fair dues to everyone involved.
But I cant see other countries getting involved on the side of the Palestinians, Israel is rich and powerful and the
palestinians have nothing. Thats all that matters.
The only hope for the people of Gaza is individuals like John.
