Am I imagining things or was there a discussion on here somewhere re: Irish players to play in European semis/finals?
It was on the United thread. Conclusion we came to was that the last time 3 Irish lads played in a European Cup semi final was 1985 - Beglin, Lawrenson, Whelan - and not 1968 - Brennan, Dunne, Best as initially proposed. Then Muppet rightly pointed out that the question posed said only "European semi final" and pointed to the Arsenal bucks - O'Leary, Brady, Rice, Stapleton and a few more in possibly the Cup Winners Cup, not sure what year.
Anything to add?

Got a 2nd hand set of iron from American Golf on sale for 110 quid (my mate knew the fella as well) and they look like they have hardly been used. I'm only a beginner so I don't know much about them compared to what the other lads on here would but the difference in a cheap set(dunlop and the likes)is unreal. They are easier to hit, the ball goes further and they have an all round better feel to them.

What I find amazing about Giggs is how he has reinvented himself. In his prime, he was an unbelievable winger but not someone you ever would have though as being a playmaker in the middl, yet he somehow has evolved into that role.
