That is a lot of central midfielders but surely Aqualani and Poulsen are first out the door. Mereiles is a good player so he stays. I would get rid of Lucas ahead of him.

Sorry mate but that's madess. Lucas has been one of our most consistant performers over the last 2 years and has developed into a terrific player. The days of ridicule are desevedly behind him, only continued by barstool warmers who haven't a clue. Never bitches, complains, runs to the press. IMO an ideal pro and one I hope will remain at the club for years to come.

Got this deal sent to me today

http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal?nlp=&CID=UK_CRM_45_0_0_0&utm_source=Deal_general_newsletter&utm_medium=All_Cities&utm_content=Initial_Version&utm_campaign=Varies

Doesn't say anywhere if the prices are per person or not? I'm more than sure they are but it'sjust the part where they say 3,4 or 7 night stay for up to 4 people!

None of the phone numbers work so can't get though to their customer service >:(

Anyone deal with them before or answer anyof the above questions?

Wickham gone to Sunderland. It appears that the strong rumours that he was coming to Liverpool and wanted the move were incorrect and that Sunderland have outbid us - using our money from Henderson deal.

Tony Barrett suggesting that our valuation was way off and we weren't willing to match sunderlands. At a guess, I'd say we valued him in same bracket as Ngog and saw one as replacing the other for the same price.

While its worrying that we appear to be a position of been unbid for not huge amounts, its positive that we are been cautious and careful. Some raised eyebrows at Hendersons price but Wickham is a much greater risk - younger and unproven in the EPL plus a striker lives or dies by goals scored, so that always a risk.

I hope they have alternatives in place.

cautious and careful :D, you do remember you paid £35 mill for big Andy who is hardly the finished article either

Shouldn't that be WE

[I must admit I'm a bit puzzled with some of the activity. It makes sense if JJ is going to Blackpool on loan, but there's still a huge amount of bodies that will have to be catered for, all jostling for a midfield berth.

If we sign Adam, it throws another lad into the mix. Where will they all play? Will Kenny do a horses for courses approach? If we take Maxi, Kuyt and Downing out of the mix, you're still left with Gerrard, Adam, Shelvey, Spearing, Lucas, Henderson and Meireles all looking for 3 places max.

I can see were you're coming from, especially as we have no euro footy to rotate players in and out of, but at least now we have strength in depth (something that has been real problem for I don't know how long), whether they will all be happy is another thing. In KK we trust

Hes the exact type of player Arsenal dont need. How many finesse type players, small, nippy, technical players do they want. Fab, Nasri, Van Persie, Arshavin, Rosicky, Ramsey, Wishere, no-one with a bit of bite.

Was thinking that, 'if' they do buy him they'll have a hell of a player but have spent a sizeable chunk of their budget on a player they don't really need (a la utd with jones and young) but still have the same weaknesses, ie no keeper, CB, DM or number 9. Which would be good news for our assault on the title er I mean push for the top 4!

Don't go down that road lest we be accused of being delusional!

Sorry maybe I should have put in a smilie to identify I was being sarcastic, I have no expectations that we will win the title next year but it doesn't stop the manc's state the usual bullshit about how we said we were going to win it this year!

No ta to Lennon, but would love Mata.

If arse are after him you'd have to think one or both of Fab and Nasri are on there way out

Federer was on the scene then too, but it's more how he fell away from the top group of players
He's been dogged by a hip injury. Was mentioned the other night that he's had surgery a couple of times on it since 2008.

Doesn't have the weapons either, especially serve. His never say die attitude can only get you so far...saying that it got him to number 1 so I might be chatting ballix

Hopefullt we pick up some higher quality players in the off season as well.

I'm not so sure we will(attacking players anyway apart from Wickham), but hopefully I'm wrong. These 2 will undoubtedly add to our squad and will 'hopefully' bring the best out in Carroll. Adam from his corners and and Downing with old fashioned wing play. We do need more pace in the side so hopefully (that word again) DC and KK will sort this out.
