QuoteIt was Sean Kelly who looked for Croke Park to be opened up to the Junior and Intermediate teams for club All-Ireland and he should get the praise for it.
Last year (2006) was the first year the finals were played in Croker prior to that they were played in provincial venues like Portlaoise.

You are wasting your time SuperDooperCooper if you think the likes of Magpie Seanie would give Sean Kelly credit for anything.

QuoteI honestly believe that in order to give some of the weaker counties a chance in Gaelic Football some of the Tyrone panel could be given to other counties to even things up.  I mean a lot of them live near Armagh anyway..

I believe it is restricted to transfers from top tier counties to lower tier counties. Transfers between two lowest tier counties would not be allowed.

Hope that clears things up for you.

To answer your question, I dont know of such a source but there was a website called, I think, Gaelic gazette that may be worth a look..not sure if its still active.

I assume you have looked in all the usual sources i.e hoganstand.com, anfearrua.com etc

Welcome to the board....I am afraid you will have to change your name.. we cannot have gaaboard promoting foreign sounding names. No doubt Sean Kelly put you up to this. Be careful of Lawnseed and his ilk will be after you.

Even if you reduced the number of games counties would still seek an edge and would continue with the training schedules they have in place. Supporters would bay for blood if their team is not training to the same extent as their rivals.

We should all sing gstq and leave out a big "Up the Queendom" ,or some such, towards the end. Then we should roundly boo our own anthem.
This will surely flummox the saes and we will plough through them.

Quoteas gaa members we should never be allowed to forget aidan mcanespie, or gerry devlin, or sean farmer and colm scullion

Agreed..but does it take a monumental event like England playing in Croke park and gstq being played in order for people to "remember" these men ? What are the standards/requirements here ? I wonder when was the last time TUG,and others like him, "remembered" Sean Farmer and how did he personally respect his memory ? Did he say a quiet prayer, vistit his grave ...etc ?

Talk is cheap and it seems that it seems to cheaper everytime an event like this comes along. Maybe TUG is genuine and really wants Aidan McAnespie to be remembered at this time..thats fair enough. Somehow I doubt it though..my guess is that he just wants to stir up emotions close to the game.

Quote"Look at what happened us last year. We won the Ulster title on July 9 but didn't play Kerry in the All-Ireland quarter-final until August 5. Kerry had two games in that period which left them that bit sharper than us," he said.
us how

..hang on..wouldn't the "tough, competitive" Ulster championship not make up for this layoff ? ...Sure, we've never lost a 1/4 final and we have gone into each of those games without, apparently, having had a competitive game in Munster.

How the hell do we do it Danny ?

Leave Armagh4SamAgain alone. His opinion is as valid as anybody elses.

I think they should try Geezer at corner foward. His legs aren't up to it further out the field however
I think his stern countenance will unnerve the corner backs...what do you think Armagh4SamAgain ?

It would be good to play Dublin in our home ground alright.

QuoteTyrone will be going into the game without Conor Gormley, Brian Dooher, Brian McGuigan and Stephen O' Neill (and whats the situation with Jordan?). Thats the spine of the team and All-Stars the lot of them. As such Id say the priority for Tyrone is to go and put it up to the Dubs and see how the young lads on the panel cope with the Croke Park experience

I sure Dublin will be expeimenting too,  as well as dealing with their own unavailability/injury issues.

QuoteHowever I have a problem with Kerry men having a go at Down men.  Pete Mc Grath won 2 all irelands in a committed management career with down and never went back looking his worth off the weaker counties in Ireland

..being patronized by a Tyroneman...things cant get much worse !
