Longford final was last weekend, very enteraining gmae between Clonguish and Dromard, which ended in a draw which was a very fair result. Replay will be on 27th.

Winners at home to Wexford champs in Leinster competition

What are Joes business interests he refers to in the Indo article? Sounds as if he'll be spending most weekend in Galway

As a neutral, that KevinFoley goal still gives me goose bumps. Type of goal u dream of scoring or dream of your team scoring!

People complaining about Paul Barden and Kevin O'Brien being on that team obviously never saw them play in the flesh. O'Brien was a far better player than Mattie Forde, if anyone should lose out it should be Forde. Bernard Flynn was better than Forde.

As for Barden, well I might be biased but some of the scores I've seen him get, even his display against Derry in the qualifiers alone a few years back, never mind some of his scores in other games....

Also, how Geraghty couldnt be accomodated somewhere on team is strange

Well where to start?

Firstly, great credit to the team/management for giving it a go in the 2nd half. Everyone gave it their all and really rose to the challenge. Thought we might be in for a bit of a hiding but showed great determination in 2nd half. This was completely missing in the Wicklow match. However, dont think we ever looked like being able to close the deal. To outlpay and outscore Kerry in championship football is no mean achievemnet and therfore should be used as platform for future.

Anyone know if team have use of sports phychologist? If Antrim can make an Ulster final, Limerick compete agisnt Cork, Fermanagh get to an Ulster final and All Ireland Semi, Weford the same, then why cant Longford be challengers. We were always able for these type of teams but so many hard luck stories over the years. Remember the Dubs 3 years ago. All this team needs is belief.

One more point, this team that lost by four is not as strong as the one that lost by 9 in Killarney in 06

Good soft day for the game....just like the league game a few years back.

To the man with the Boss tickets, in 10, 20, nah 50 years time, will u remember that gig or being at a Longford triumph over Kerry?!!

:P

Longford were to have home advantage before game got moved to Croker so good chance it will be in Pearse Park

Have a good story about that trip and the fact that a student based in Dublin missed the trip because a county board official couldnt tell the time!

Think longford have enough up front to beat Leitrim. Saying that, Leitrims full back line is very tenacious and tough tackling so scores might be hard come by but think we might shade i by a point or two.
