Can't get my head around this. if a club has 2 players on the county panel it plays no games until the County is knocked out. What are the other 20 or so lads to do during the best time of the year. Clubs should play all league and tournament games without County players. We will have a Leinster Club final on in mid December the whole thing is mad. But no one is calling stop or is it that the powers are not listening.

Hope it's on RTE

Local Championship is shaping up well. However clubs should have a lot more games played at this time of the year. Maybe Clubs should play more league games without County players? As regards County manager Eugene McCormack was badly treated last time round. He took us to Leinster finals in both U/21 and Junior ok we lost both. I thought Sheehy would have him in his back room team but no. He deserves a chance now if not as No1 then part of the back room team as most of those in the frame have had the job already.

Longford played 2 important games[ Senior/Minor] over the week end and were well beaten in both. Where do we go from here? I'm sick of all the talk about a small pick. We need to win a big game. In both game's it seems we were very slow to start.

Well done Fermanagh. The Rossies do think they are better than they are. Its going to be a long summer. Wonder will they make changes to their back room staff?

I enjoyed all three programmes in the series. Great TV. That was some belt Paudie hit Dinny Allen. Was just thinking if that was Keano that Paudie hit there would have been some barney. It fairness I don't think Roy would have used the elbow like that.

Who will be in the hat with the Rossies for the draw

Eamon Sweeney had a piece in the Indo yesterday about Unionist MP Tom Elliott refusing a invite to the game. He should be ashamed of himself after all the efforts to keep the peace on our little island this b----x wants to go back down the same old road again. Would it kill me to go to the game. This kind of thing really annoys me after all the progress we have made.

At least after next Sunday senior club football in Longford will get into full swing. It's late May and most clubs have only 2 or 3 league games played.

Washington managed a Intermediate team in Longford last year.

I thought it a little unfair alright to bring in the U/21s as soon as they were knocked out. They could have waited until after the league and then name a new squad for the Championship. After all promotion was secured without the U/21s.

The 1945 programme was valued at 450 Euro at collectibles corner last week it didn't sell. Still worth at least 350. You should contact Peter at collectibles corner. He will value them for you.

Really bad for the Willie's. But Corofin must be some out fit. Will they take the Mayo boys?

GAA Discussion / Re: TG4 - Club Championships Coverage

TG4 give a great service to the GAA. I know I enjoy watching the games on Sunday afternoon. Ok some times I am hoping between them and Super Sunday. But I always spent more time with TG4. What's coming up this Sunday? no super Sunday because of International week so no need for me to grab the remote control
