Calm down lads, it's a disappointing result but i'd take this over any time with Van Gaal. We're  improving and i expect us to finish top 4 which i never did with that goat in charge.

Despite finishing 4th in his first season?

Yes. That was capitulation by those around us and we fell into the top 4, i  never expected it throughout the season.

Ramirez' a bit of a party animal apparently. Was thrown off the Cuban squad a couple of times I understand for enjoying himself too much and not training hard enough. Mad he can still look as good having been half arsed about it up until the past few months.

Conlan is exactly the sort of fighter who would relish fighting a top class opponent and perform even better because of it. He's the world champion ffs, to assume he's lose is nonsense of the highest order.

They fought once previously and Ramirez won pretty cosily so if that's nonsense of the highest order so be it.

Conlon might be glad he doesn't have to fight Ramirez. Looks unbeatable barring something dodgy.

I know there's a bit of divilment at play here but come the seasons end it mightnt look as silly as it seems currently having not had any tight game yet but he's certainly having an impressive championship and has improved again from last year.

Does he struggle to get down to that weight? The other guy looked pretty fresh after the 3 rounds while paddy was gassed.

That's what he was implying - https://twitter.com/RTEsport/status/762669876158705665
Refreshing honesty
Why would he fight at that weight if its a struggle for him to get down too?
Would he not be better off or actually would it not make more sense fighting at a weight that he can achieve or is that not how it works? I don't follow boxing much so don't know.

Safely say he doesn't or people around him don't think he has the power to go up the weights.
