He lives 20 minutes away from Kenosha in a town that abuts the border-the fact he crossed into another state is completely irrelevant.

The problem is that the prosecutor overcharged him and in the process turned it into a self defense case. I just can't see how they can reach an unanimous verdict in this

Well crossing the state line with a weapon is obviously irrelevant then if he didn't in fact bring the weapon across state lines.

Like I said, I haven't been paying too much attention.

But my anger would be more towards the parents and adults in his life, letting a stupid kid get into that situation with a weapon like that.

Can't comment much beyond that - it wouldn't surprise me in the least if what he did was legal given US gun laws. If the prosecutor screwed up by overcharging, then obviously Kenosha needs to look at its DA office.

I have been watching the majority of this trial as I'm home due to Covid and the prosecutor did screw this up but the lesser felony charges should have convictions.

If this kid wasn't there no one would have died.

I knew him for over thirty years and he had his demons but was fighting them and seeking treatment.
This was his third attempt in the past fifteen years and will be greatly missed. Stood up in his wedding just over a year ago and was my partner in our Monday Night Golf League.

Had a pre work covid test on the 27th of Oct - negative

Felt like a head cold/sinus infection (no temp) Saturday and stayed like that till Tuesday, called off of work M/T had to take a covid test to go back to work today (they are really strict) - positive.

This evening noticed loss of smell, opened a spice jar of both Garlic and Cinnamon and nothing.

Wore my mask everywhere, never went out to socialize the past 2 months because I was swamped with work.

10 days off of work till next test on the 22.

So far all minor symptoms, doctor said the vaccine is more than likely keeping me this way.

I read that the black Capital police officer who was  famously captured on video  tangling with and being chased up a couple of flights of stairs by a white supremacy mob,  was actually luring them away from the senate chamber into an opposite direction   He instinctively deployed the oldest trick in the 'how a black man can escape imminent white mob danger', as outlined in that famous Blazing Saddles sketch.
