I saw Limerick in their second half against Laois and thought they had no hope against Dublin.

I was wrong.

Against Laois, the Laois backs were able to walk out with the ball and if they had any forwards to receive the ball they would have put up a massive score.

Tipperary have these forwards and also their midfield can score from distance. Limerick have no hope. Unless I am wrong again....  ::)

Some of Mayo's shooting when the match was in the melting pot was incredibly bad.
I think it was Heaney, Parsons and Harte.
They each had an old lash from out the field that didn't come within an asses roar of a point.

Could they not have worked it to one of their inside forwards?
Had panic set in?

The facts are we're the only team to have beaten Kerry 3 times this decade

I thought Cork beat Kerry in 2002, 2006, 2008 and 2009 ....

How do people know that Frank Murphy is the only one causing all this trouble?

Any of the controversial votes undertaken recently have gotten a large majority.

It's the club delegates doing the voting.

Some may say that the delegates are fearful of not getting their matches scheduled, their clubs not getting to host big championship matches, not getting their cut of county draw etc.
But how likely is this?

Last year when RTE were looking for soundbites outside Pairc Ui Chaoimh ahead of a county board meeting there seemed to be plenty of delegates willing to denounce the actions of the players.

To me Frank Murphy has the willing backing of a majority of delegates. Whether the delegates are representing the majority view of their clubs is another thing. But would it be possible to replace all the delegates? hardly. And who would want to replace them?

Do you not like Barbecues?
If you sold your barbecue you wouldn't be a professional.
However if the Golf club gave you a set of clubs to play every round in the competition and you sold each of them the waters get a bit muddier.

The problem would be  that he gets the jersey for playing.
If he swaps this for money then he is getting money for playing.

I wonder on what grounds this was overturned?

Did they argue that the referee was deceived by O'Mahoney's mendacious actions.

If that is the case, would their appeal have failed if O'Mahoney had stayed on his feet?

On the point on whether Kerry have the extra motivation because of this, precedent would suggest not.
Remember Anthony Lynch similarly got to play in a replay against the kingdom recently and it did not aversely affect Cork.

I feel overturning this kind of sending off undermines the referee.

I do hope O'Connor grabs his chance and racks up a big score.

" close game, not much in it"

ahem!

There was 5 points in it but only because Kerrigan felt sorry for them at the end and decided to take his point!!

I think Declan O'Sullivan is a huge addition to Kerry since the Munster final. He seems to be flying.

I'm hoping Cork's performance against Kildare was only sloppy because Kildare let us go so far ahead.

We got a good run on Kerry in the munster final so we are definitely able to beat them.

Cork team named.

CORK (SH V KILKENNY): D Óg Cusack; S O'Neill, D O'Sullivan, B Murphy; J Gardiner, R Curran, S Óg Ó'hAilpín; T Kenny, J O'Connor; B O'Connor, N McCarthy, P Cronin; C Naughton, J Deane, P Horgan.

Diarmuid O'Sullivan is kept at full back. Will he be picked for the final also?  8)

Nearly every 65 and sideline is taken from a foot or so from the line.
Why aren't these all blown up?

Why suddenly start implementing a rule like this in the chamoionship?

For me the next day Cork should start with :

     Cusack
O'Neill Gardiner Murphy
Kenny Curran O' Hailpin
  Naughton Gerry O'Connor
Cronin Timmy McCarthy Ben O'Connor
Horgan Ronan Deane

Gardiner is not a natural full back but at least he is hurling confidently at the moment, something which Sully seems to be lacking.
He has a good hand on him and a bit of cut.

To beat Kilkenny we'll need trunning game going at it's best.

Naughton's running with the ball is second to none. Not only is he as fast as lightning he has good vision and always seem to take the right option.
He was fairly quiet to my mind when stuck in corner forward whereas out midfield he was getting on to breaks.

Horgan looks a natural at this stage with a sure touch.

I can't see Niall being picked for the Kilkenny match. He gave Gerry Quinn the freedom of the park the last day.

I thought Tannion was well able to win ball against Gardiner in the first half.
Who did Cork move to the half back line in the second half? I presume it was Tom Kenny.

You think that's bad.
I can't work out the positives.

Where did Cork win this match?

Galway had Joe Canning. Cork have no one to win our own puckouts as witnessed by the nervy last 10 minutes.
Galway were ahead after playing with the wind.
This was the match Galway were peaking for.

How the heck did Cork get such a stranglehold?

Well if you want to put it like that..... I can't deny Donal Og didn't meet the ref half way.
