I had my honeymoon in Tramore, Co Waterford many years ago. The highlight of the weekend was a trip to see Johnny McEvoy in a local hotel.

Hurling Discussion / Re: Birr vs Dunloy

Clones is a strange venue. Parnell Pk or even Navan or Newry would have been grand. You have to say that club hurling is hard to call. Its always been so. I always support the underdog and I'll not change now - Birr to win by 3 points.

Classic!  :D :D

I think Pillar should follow Cody and offer to play Cork but only if the game is in Croke Pk. After all the hassle of arranging travel etc for last weekend for both the county Board and fans, it's the least they can do.

Have to say it all seems to me that gays playing rugby is nothing more than the flirting before an all out orgy

A bit like sheep sheering for culchies?  ;)

Davittman i wouldn't take the M50 at all, get a city map and cross country it to ranelagh, using back streets, rathmines, kimmage, islandbridge, chapleizod and the lucan before hitting the M4
Mayo4Sam is right. Avoid it if at all possible. I haven't been on it in months and manage fine. Its frustrating as feck.

If you can have a womans rugby team, why not a gay one? Does the govt at Stormont fund the team? Is that what the minister is on about?

GAA Discussion / Re: Mayo v Donegal NFL Thread
February 18, 2008, 04:13:55 AM
I taped the match on TG4 and managed to avoid the result at work. Good enough game and what a finish from Donegal. Twice now they've stolen games in the last minute. A real killer blow for Mayo and they'll struggle to avoid relegation now. Donegal must have serious ambitions towards retaining the league after that result.

General discussion / Re: Congestion charges For Dublin

The bus mens Union are a law unto themselves and very resistant to any change. If properly managed a charge could help improve things but you'd need improved public transport as well.

Sad.

Once again Cork get special treatment. If it was Kilkenny footballers or Leitrim hurlers would they get the same grace to sort it out? I can't see it some how.

I hope the Ultras behave themselves. The Garda wouldn't be as soft on them as the stewards in Newry.
