Football is about winning the League table doesn't lie and if it's winning with style Real Madrid also did that in the 50s,60s.

Say Real win the league but Barca win the CL, which is probably an odds on bet - what does that say?

One the best in Spain and the other the best in the Champions league.

Real Madrid (de stefano & co ) did do it in style as did the famous hungarian team of the fifties (puskas),followed by many brazalian teams but my point is in this period of vast wealth in european soccer this team are the best footballing side to probably ever play the game.

After finally getting your point across your Captain can now sleep soundly.

Your OBVIOUSLY a tube.

Take into account alot of the current barca side are homegrown.
You menetion real madrid? what have real done to the current barca team in the last three years on the pitch (apart from butchering them).
Your league table argument carries as much weight as louis walshs opinion on jedward

to think people on here reckon english premiership teams could have beaten that team if there was different circumstances.

There is one thing utd have in abundance in their squad and alot more of than most squads and thats bottle especially among their big name players.
Their attitude is we are the best and show us we are not.
Bar barca there isnt a more confident squad over a season.
Thats why most teams soil themselves in OT.
How many times have you seen teams go toe to toe with utd in terms of agression and in your face tactics and get a result?
Most of the credit for this attitude has to go to the manager.

What are the chances of motherwell playing champions league this year ;)

I think Rangers and Celtic only need to come in the top 4 to gurantee themselves one of the two Scottish places in the Champions League.

I know in England for instance if Newcastle comes 4'th and Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool comes 5'th then Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool would get the place not Newcastle, not fair I know.

Come again?

What about fergusons two in the bumper DH?

I like the look of that new years eve. However the form of the stable isnt as good recently as earlier in the year.

Would you pass much heed on stable form going into cheltenham DH?
For example hobbs horses cant jump a fence at the moment but alot of the so called english experts are giving some of his horses each way chances in some of the big races eg wishful thinking and captain chris.

Noel Meade had decent form this year and anything he sends over should have a squeak this year.

I wonder will many of the players get the cull.
Cant see big earners like mcgregor and edu lasting but you never know.

What are the chances of motherwell playing champions league this year ;)

City are twice as good as Utd are but the ineptitude of the rest of the league has meant that the 2 are so close at the top. The fact that City have more quality would point to them winning I think although they do have a slightly tougher run in. Can't see either team dropping many points but City to win it on the last day.

City are twice as good as United?  If they are 'twice' as good surely the league would be over now.  If they are in fact better, then they will win the league.  I don't think they are better and I don't think they will win the league.

6-1 says otherwise. City have far better players than Man United only Rooney, a fit Vidic and Valencia would make the City first XI. United have Ferguson, the only reason why they are where they are.

Exactly

Looking at the fixture run in everyone is saying man utd have an easier run in.
They have to play 5 possible relegation candidates compared to city who have only two.yes city have chelsea and aresnal but anyone knows that playing relegation threatened teams this part of a season is alot more difficult than say september or october.
These teams will be out to pick up any point they can get and i believe this will be more difficult for teams to go out and beat them.
Im not saying the relegation candidates will beat any of the champions elect but dont be suprised if they have a say in the destination of the premier league.

FT 0-2 Utd win.
Cleverley played 60 mins.  ;D

The hustle and bustle of the europa league must suit better.

Almost full strength side out for manure (contrary to what we were told) what happens when they get to semis will the die hard fans on this thread  ::) be routing for a cup win or will they still class it as a worthless cup.
Whatever happens the PR brigade will make sure it suits themselves and all logic will be safely brushed under the carpet.

Good result today.Actually disagree with some views here saying not as good a performance as last week.I actually think the second half performance was better than last week in terms of dominance and use of the ball.Very impressed with our midfield and defensive system which choked offaly attacks in the second half.Devanney was class today and is a certain to start come championship. Our style of play of playing long early ball to isolated forward line with acres of space is working very well.Very impressed that we are going into the depths of the squad with so many injuries and the lads drafted in are playing well.Sign of a squad thats confident and happy.
Nial Daly is looking like a class act and seems to be making no 6 jersey his own.
My own opinion on the opposition was they were very poor.Lacked quality in the forwards .
Is a shame as its a great GAA county but seem to be at a low point at the moment.

Excellant venue and top class facilities it actually is a credit to the GAA family in the county. Its great to relax and enjoy a match in a venue like that
